[Bucky's been meaning to do this for a day or so now, and he can't really put it off any longer. So he pulls out his journal, still sitting in his chair that he hasn't left except for night time in a few days, and filters a message.]

Just so you know, Steve's been in a coma since last Thursday. And he hasn't woken up. If you want to come down to the clinic to see him, you can. You probably should. He would like that.

[That done, he drops his journal open on the bed and pinches the bridge of his nose. Time to pull it together, Bucky. Even though he looks like hell. People will be even more worried if he looks worried.]

[Uh oh, Dairine sounds peeved. And very worried. But mostly peeved.

Better known as this is her why-the-hell-didn't-you-tell-me-sooner voice.]

Dairine. Don't get mad at me. I don't have the patience for you getting mad at me. [He really doesn't. He's stressed and worried. Go ahead, Dairine.]

[Don't worry. She'll chew him out later, AFTER she's checked up on both of them and made sure they're OK.]

I'm not making any promises. [And you know why.]

[Yeah, that'll end well. Go ahead and try it. And Bucky is not remotely in the realm of okay. Steve's probably doing better than him.]

Try not to scare me too much when you pop in.

Don't worry. I won't.

[Nooooo way is Dairine transiting directly into the clinic. That would get her kicked out so fast. Instead, she appears in the hall outside and walks in.

It doesn't take her long to find the two of them.]

Did you at least give Jo a head's up on this?

She knows he was sick, and I'm pretty sure she's included in that filter. I was hoping he'd shake whatever it was. [Bucky should have known better by now, though. This was all the Castle's fault.]

He's been out since Thursday. It's Monday. That's a lot of shifts to miss.

And yet, nobody wondered where he was. [And that's not meant to be malicious, just...kind of curious.] I'm not going to argue about this, though. He's here, I told you, Steve probably wouldn't have wanted me to tell you...

I thought he was sick with a cold. I would have liked to know if he wound up in a coma. And how do you know no one was looking for him?

What happened?

He got sick. I thought it was just a cold, but I should have known better. It's never just a cold with Steve. For all I know, it could be the Castle messing with him.

It's not often people get sick here. [ And when they do, it is definitely the castle messing around with them. ] Has a doctor seen him yet?

[Steve gets sick more than other people. But great, now he really does think the Castle is messing with him.] Yeah, but they didn't say much. No real cause other that the fact he was sick, and they can't wake him up. Probably is the Castle... [And now he's worried more.]

It's only been a few days, right? I'm sure he'll be back on his two feet soon.

[Someone pokes his head into the clinic, looking around before stepping in. He makes a beeline for where the bandages and stuff are stored, rummaging around for what he wants, not noticing anyone else.]

Bucky pokes his head out of Steve's room. What the hell, he doesn't want to deal with this now.] You know, you could probably just ask someone who works here.

[He looks up at Bucky from his position on the ground. He didn't think he was making that much noise.]

Didn't want to disturb no-one.

[Didn't want people to fuss, more like.]

I doubt you'd be disturbing anyone here. There aren't that many injuries around here.

[Bonnie closes her journal and speeds down to the clinic. She's out of breath when she reaches the room that Steve is in, coming over to Bucky and pulling him into a hug without warning.]

[He was not expecting that hug.] Bonnie?

[She's just going to hug Bucky for a little longer before pulling back, glancing up at him. Bonnie looks a little teary eyed.] Hey.
