Frick. Frick. Frick.

Oh my god I don't know what happened or how I ended up here but if I don't show up for work tomorrow Dr. Cox is going to kill me. And if he doesn't Dr. Kelso certainly will and either way would pretty much suck because they're both just such complete hardasses. And I know I told myself I wasn't just going to lay over and take it anymore but I didn't think it was going to be tested this soon either, you know?

[And it's about then that she realizes the journal that's sitting next to her is writing down everything she's saying.]

Holy frick on a stick why is this journal writing in itself. I mean, the freaky castle isn't weird enough, there's enchanted journals too? Please tell me someone accidentally pricked me with some morphine or something because this sounds more like one of JD's crazy fantasies than anything real. I mean, this can't be what's really happening, right?

[There's pause, and then she sounds a little more pathetic.]

Right?

[.... wow. yep, even if she's NOT Stella, she sounds like she and Ted would get along way too well. he goggles at the journal for a moment]

Nope. Especially since you can wish for whatever you want here, so. There's a leg up, already.

Yeah, anything you want, aside from people. Give it a shot.

I know, right? And every couple of months or so, everything changes while we're asleep and we wake up in LA or Paris or on pirate ships or whatever. It's like a free vacation, all expenses paid. Trust me, you're gonna LOVE it here.

Well ... like I said, I've been here a while. What's the point of walking around hating it every single day if I'm not going to go anywhere? There's this poster I had in my office, back home: "When I start to get sad, I stop being sad, and be awesome, instead."

It's exactly like that.

[speaking as someone who had to completely reinvent himself, and ended up with the best group of friends ever because of it?] Yeah, definitely not.

Maybe at first. But then you just find the ultimate way to tap into your own inner well of uncharted, boundless awesomeness… you just have to figure out where that is. What color your awesomeness parachute is.

And then you deploy it... and soar.
bro_codebreaker: (makin' me feel glad that I'm not you!!)

Yeah! ... You know. The awesome parts of you that keep you from falling completely into the pit of suck whenever life kicks you in the face.

More than you'd think, once you know where to look. True story. Step one? Wishes, wishes, wishes.

Step two: Seasons Room on a Tuesday. Step two-point-five? Repeat step two... Pina colada variant.

Yeah, it's a beach on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and all full of snow on Mondays and Wednesdays. ... Nobody cares about Mondays and Wednesdays, but beach days are totally awesome.

Oh, definitely. Wish up some sunscreen if you burn easy, that totally can happen, too. I've had barbecues and volleyball games in there before.

[hey, it's pretty much his job: to be the only one here who doesn't utterly loathe it 90% of the time]

It is, you definitely gotta check it out. That, and the game room.

For a start. Pool, ping pong, foosball, pinball, everything. It's pretty much the best way to waste a rainy day that doesn't involve alcohol.

Oh - until you start playing drunk Pac-Man.
