[So Chris wants to be helpful. He wants to be just like Superman and help save people. Creepy things attacking the castle and hurting people? He's Kryptonian and Superman showed him how to do some stuff, so surely he can do something. He wishes he knew how to use his powers better; he bets using arctic breath would stop those things right in their tracks. However, he has to make do with what he does have, so he's using superspeed to try and catch one. After running around the castle, eventually he sees one of the black blobs and tackles it. Success!

Have an excited child's voice coming from the journal.] I caught one! I caught one, I caught - hey, hold still! These things are really - OW!

[Aaaand he just dropped it after it bit him - it quickly zooms off.] Come back here! Ow ow ow... [He grumbles a little unhappily, cradling his hand.] Stupid - I had it, I really did! Next time I won't let it get away! [And he's scooping up his journal and chasing after it. He's not going to let a little bite slow him down... but it will probably start slowing him down soon.]
