[today, anyone looking for him - or not, even! - will find Five in the library, combing and raiding the stacks for anything pertaining to the ruined tower Felix expressed interest in. he's got maps and stacks of books and his copy of the old journal all spread out on a table, poring through them all. his Eevee, Nyssa, is sleeping soundly in the sun on one of the window seats.
there's also a pitcher of lemonade and a plate of watercress finger sandwiches sitting on a small folding table nearby, because you can't get food on the books, no no.]
Well, things have certainly been rather non-stop lately, haven't they? I feel like as much as we've been through, I've not done a thing at all in the way of keeping up on things. Well, other than bringing Legato his coat. [ahem] Yet again, the things I think of and mean to do keep getting pushed aside in favor of more immediate events ... I feel as though there are at least a few trains of thought that I've completely and totally lost, and need to go back and try to pick up, now that things are ... well ... passably normal.
Anyone else having this problem, perchance?
Oh, and -- for those of you working with Felix on his latest project? I'm in the library, going over some things, if you'd care to join me.

This might be a silly question, but I thought it was worth a try.
Does anyone here know how to make a ring? As in the kind you wear on your finger? The castle took my wedding ring, and it won't let me ask the ghosts for a temporary replacement. We have so many uniquely talented people here that I thought maybe they could help me.

[ Katara is all business today. ]
How many people are here that you know of from your world? How long did it take them to get here? If you don't know of anyone from your world -- have you always been the only one here? What about family - does anyone have any family here?
Thanks!

Sorry I've been so silent lately. I assure any worried parties that I am alive and well, just a bit buried in the processes of coordinating a renewal of vows between the Doctor and myself. Invitations should be going out soon!
On to more interesting matters! It's getting hot outside and in keeping with a tradition I've started, I'd like to invite everyone to a pool party in the TARDIS. Five's TARDIS to clarify as the other pool is otherwise occupied. It'll be tomorrow afternoon so bring your swim suits!
[Nope, she didn't ask permission this time either]
I think we could all use a chance to cool off and socialize.
[ooc:I'll be putting up a log sometime tomorrow for any interested parties]

[After talking with a few people, Xena has gotten an idea.
For once, this idea does not involve violence.
No. It involves reading. Xena has a number of books spread out in front of her. There’s Homer, a book of Greek myths, Greek and Roman history, even the Bible has a couple of stories marked. And she’s been making “corrections,” striking through and adding commentary. Meanwhile, she dictates into the journal.]
It’s funny how many people I know seem to have made the history books. Not that the books seem to have gotten much right. Still, it’s good to know people haven’t forgotten everything they did. [And that they do seem to have forgotten Xena. She’s perfectly fine with that.]

[Venkman was undeniably, irrevocably, and without any ghost of a doubt, bored. Having found himself back in the castle and without his little buddy in tow, he found himself with a distinct lack of anything to do. He was used to working long and odd hours as a Ghostbuster, this whole...free time thing he found just wasn't working for him, as odd as the thought sounded running through his head. He needed to be active, and these days that was translating into idly walking around the castle, going wherever his feet might end up taking him. Today his travels had brought him to the castle's rather large Library, quite the spectacle to behold, even for one from New York. Peter walked in slowly, moving in between rows of books and letting his hand drag across their spines as dust began to build up on his fingertips. He pulled his hand away and muttered to himself as he wiped his hand off against his pants, gazing around nonchalantly to see if he was the only person around]
Jeez, this place is worse than the New York Public...That old witch woulda had a field day in here.
[He chuckled idly, remembering the ghost of Eleanor Twitty as he started up his slow stroll once more. Perhaps he would run into someone here, or find a book he actually wanted to dip his nose into. At best, he was hoping he wouldn't run into any floating, disembodied torsos, though his luck never was all that good to begin with]

[The sound that comes from the journals is hauntingly beautiful, and deeply touching. It's not unlike the song of a whale, although it's closer to a whine, since that's exactly what it is. It's a smooth, melodious sound at first, and then it lowers, becoming warbled, and it sounds astonishingly like sobbing. The sound lasts for about ten seconds in total, and doesn't repeat itself.
Toothless is sitting in the courtyard in front of the castle, looking skyward. He wouldn't continue to cry; he wasn't a hatchling, after all. Still, having your best friend leave when he had been there with you nearly the entire time the both of you had been relocated to this area was hard. So he'd allowed himself at least one cry.
Now, though, he sits in silence, head falling and then drooping.
And he sits.]
