19 - fury of the night
Apr. 19th, 2012 10:13 pm[The sound that comes from the journals is hauntingly beautiful, and deeply touching. It's not unlike the song of a whale, although it's closer to a whine, since that's exactly what it is. It's a smooth, melodious sound at first, and then it lowers, becoming warbled, and it sounds astonishingly like sobbing. The sound lasts for about ten seconds in total, and doesn't repeat itself.
Toothless is sitting in the courtyard in front of the castle, looking skyward. He wouldn't continue to cry; he wasn't a hatchling, after all. Still, having your best friend leave when he had been there with you nearly the entire time the both of you had been relocated to this area was hard. So he'd allowed himself at least one cry.
Now, though, he sits in silence, head falling and then drooping.
And he sits.]
