The only way that could happen though was to find some way to teach it or suggest it. For now, analyzing what she wrote was key. Maybe something would come to her if she pieced everything together slowly.
Her ears flick when she hears Uru mingling nearby, making her look up curiously. She's pretty calm for someone who's castle just got turned into a cheap seafood buffet from Hell. How strange.]
Ahh, you're in a good mood.

She turns around to see who is speaking to her and her eyes sort of just... fall on the garments.
Or lack of ones. ]

Her face goes extremely red and she looks away. ]
A-Ah-- yes?! Hello!!

[Yes, that is indeed a battle bikini you're staring at. This reminds her of when Leina dropped by the forest, eying her up and down, confused as to how someone could wear something like this.
At least Uru is better dressed. The elf does take notice, though she's not particularly offended. It's a common reaction, so she'll try to keep the conversation on track, setting her pen down and making steady eye contact.]
Do you need help? You seem at a loss. It happens when faced with too many choices at once. Many people get overwhelmed; too much of a good thing and all.

lovelyboobs and torso. ]I'm good, thank you!

...Something bothering you? Besides the fact we were just invaded by someone's rotten seafood dinner, I mean.

That's over with... right? The... space lobster.

[You get used to it! Cold builds character! Or some other such life lesson.
She sighs, getting some tea from her snack and pushing it over towards Uru.]
Look, if something's up, I'm not gonna tell anyone. If you really don't want to say so, fine, but you're nearly thwacking yourself into the shelf now. You're obviously distracted.
Relax.

[She makes only the beast tea. It's got a bit of lavender honey in it, too. And she's got a small plate of sugar cookies and small tea sandwiches, stacked neatly. A chair is open across from her, setting her notebook aside for now.]
Where are what?

She wasn't quite thinking you'd ask like that. But at least her suspicions were right. She sighs and crosses her arms over her chest, answering simply.]
I'm wearing them, aren't I?

[ But that's like... really bad bikini armor. ]
Aren't you cold?

[Her tone is very neutral. She does not see this as a big deal! You are silly.]
It's traditional elf combat wear, I don't see why I shouldn't wear it.
no subject
... Is it really? [ But leaf thong... ]

She takes one of her sandwiches and eats it up quite neatly.]
It's worked well for centuries now, I don't see why it needs to change. I can move easily in it and don't overheat in it, so it's functioning enough.

[She hrms and scratches something down in her book real quick]
May I ask your name? If we're going to talk like this, may as well know who we're speaking to. I'm Alleyne.
[She extends a gloved hand for shake.]

I'm Uru! I think I've heard your voice in the journal before...
no subject
I believe I've heard you, too. Though I take it by your claim, you've met the other elves around?

[A small beat as she offers more food, taking some for herself and thinking]
I hope they've been kind to you.
no subject
Um... you don't get along with the elves back home?
no subject
They didn't get along with humans. They had their reasons, but after a couple of centuries, paranoia begins to wear thin on one's sanity.
We're not all that different, after all.

So even in other worlds, people will still be afraid of things they don't understand.

[her tone shifts a bit as she takes a sip.]
But that doesn't mean it has to stay that way. That's why I do what I do, so that people can come to see a better way.
Sorry, I didn't mean to suddenly dump all this on you.
