Case #06. Wut.

[One day, nearly a fortnight ago, Miles Edgeworth disappeared from Cair Paradisa to seek temporary, reclusive solace at a hotel in the City Royale. He alerted no one of this little vacation, and ceased all communication with everyone - be it through the journals, or otherwise...

...but he's back - however unintentionally - and not in any way he could have ever foreseen. His clothes - remnants of a white undershirt and reddish-pink pajama-bottoms - are in scorched tatters. 

In one hand, there's a 4.5 ft. baguette. In the other, a machine gun...A gumball machine gun.

...and with that, he is chasing a massive growlithe around the castle grounds. 

Perhaps you're one of the unfortunate souls to witness this. After all, there is a perfectly rational explanation.

[ And then realized he had bread. His mouth waters and eyes sparkle. FOOD! ]

[Edgeworth trips on a gumball in the process, crashing down on his ass for the third time today. He shakes his head, regains composure and takes a good look at Kirby.

Wait. That's f*@#ing cute.

Meanwhile, the growlithe licks Kirby's face.]

[ Kirby's distracted momentarily by the Growlithe suddenly licking his face. He can't help but laugh, flailing his stubby little arms a little. ]

Poyo!

[See? At least someone wants to play. Meanwhile, Edgeworth stares at them both and totally has the, 'WTFizzle-my-nizzle?!' expression on his face.]

[chubbycreampuff]

[ Kirby finally stops laughing to look at Edgeworth, smiling that cute little smile ]

Poyo? [ he inquires, pointing to the bread. All of this fuss has worked up his appetite, after all! ]

[Blinks. Looks at the bread in his hand. Then back at Kirby. Then back at the bread. Then back at Kirby.]






...Ah. That's what you were after.





[He slowly holds out the loaf of bread...]

[Then, realization hit him.





He retracts it, quickly.]








Wait. On second thought, not a very good idea...

[ Kirby was running towards Edgeworth, glad he was offering it, but then suddenly -- ]


... Poyo? [ he asks, a bit disappointed as Edgeworth pulled the bread away. He stopped in his tracks, wondering why giving him food wasn't a good idea? Because it was the best idea. The best idea EVER. ]

[He points at it.]

This...is... not...good...bread. [Please don't look sad Please don't look sadpleasedon'tlooksadpleasedon'tlook-- Does this thing understand English?]


Bad bread. Hurt. Uh, [How do you say, 'concealed weapon' in Kirbynese?] it will kill you. And as a result you...will die. Dying...not good. Dying is bad.





[wtf.]

[ Kirby blinks, rather bewildered by Edgeworth's attempt at simplifying the whole issue, before nodding. He wanted to tell Edgeworth he understood... ]

Bad. [ he clumsily repeats. ] Bad... br...bread, poyo. [ is internally proud of his terrible attempt at English ]





[[ ooc: I'm laughing uncontrollably oh my god ]]

[Oh! It can...sorta talk? GodDAMNthat'scute. And Edgey likes cute things...]



...indeed. Bad bread. It's much too large for you, anyway. Look. I have a scone. At...at my place.. Perhaps you'd like that, instead. Scone? Do... you know what a...scone, is? ...Do you understand?

[ Kirby has never eaten a scone before, but it sounds delicious! ]

Poyo! [ he says happily, walking towards Edgeworth, in case they really would eat scones at his place. He gives the man an expectant look, waiting for him to stand and lead the way to his place, where lovely food was waiting ] Poyo~

[He blinks.]



Well...then. Okay...



I could use some new clothes, in any case...

[The growlithe then playfully hops about Kirby, then uses her snout in an attempt to hoist him up and give him a ride.]

[chubbycreampuff]

Poyo!

[ Kirby laughs at the Growlithe's snout nosing him - he was pretty ticklish - and hops onto the creature's back, petting its fur in awe. It was so soft! ] Poyoo....

[He eyes the growlithe]


...I'll deal with you later.


[She barks, amused...because, eh, not much he can do to her, anyway, and she follows him with Kirby in tow as he walks towards the city once more, to the hotel he has been hiding at for the past week and a half. You should be enjoying your ride for about ten minutes or so until you arrive at a quaint little Inn resembling something like this.]

[ Kirby has never been to the city, and it's pretty obvious by the way he's looking around in total awe. He didn't even know of its existence! ] Poyooooo!

[ When they get to the Inn, he wonders if that's where the weird man lives. Maybe that's why he didn't see him around before. Kirby wonders if there was lots more people out here ]

[He walks up a couple flights of stairs to reach his room. He enters, takes a few minutes to freshen up, in which the growlithe takes the opportunity to play with Kirby. He puts on some casual clothes, and begins to rummage through the refrigerator.]

[ Kirby indeed plays with the Growlithe, rather fond of the dog-like creature already. It reminded him of an old friend he had once, back home. Although noticing Edgeworth looking through the fridge quickly distracted him from their game and he watched curiously, wondering what a scone looked like. ]

Poyo?

[Here, Kirby. Have a frosted, pumpkin-spiced scone.]

[chubbycreampuff]

[ OHMYGOD. Kirby's eyes sparkle and his mouth water. It looked like cake! He takes it in his hands and stuffs it into his mouth, swallowing it whole without chewing. Deeeeeelicious! ]

Poyooooooooo~ [ he clearly enjoyed it ]

[No worries. I mean, he only has like...5 more.]




...Perhaps you should...chew that, first.

[chubbycreampuff]

[ Kirby uses his hands to stretch his mouth wide open to demonstrate he was, in fact, toothless! ]

...Gives him another.]

[ accepts it gladly and shoves it into his mouth as well, delighted. It was pretty easy to make Kirby happy! He twirls around on one foot after finishing the second scone ]
