[[Curiosity core loves everything. Everything is just so interesting, she can never think of what she wantsto do first! Maybe go off and watch how paint dried? Or maybe she could ask whoever she met how many stars there were in space, or MAYBE she could go off and learn how to bake a cake and then find out how many cakes she could bake in a day! With a blindfold! On roller-skates! Outside! The possibilities of all the things she could do were endless, but instead of doing any of those things, she did what she thought would be the most important by the slimmest of margins! Explore this castle and find all the secret passageways! Even if there weren’t any secret passageways, there probably are emergency exits that she could pretend are secret passageways. If she were to encounter any of the people who lived in the castle, she’d probably want to ask them their name and if they knew any secret passageways. Maybe they would be willing to help her on the hunt to find them! They could maybe find a portal that leads them to other universes and then they could be like that storybook, Narnia. But first she would have to ask them how Narnia even works or what it even is.

Most important question: What is this place?

She started off, darting in and out of the castle hallways like a drunken little midget pretending to dodge imaginary turret beams and that slippery goo that sometimes test subjects use. Maybe she should ask someone what that goo was called! More questions! More more more! She better go off and begin to ask someone all these questions before she looses her mind and forgets!]]

"I'm the curiosity core! I don't think I have a name like you do. Why don't I have a name like you?"

[[CC looks up at him like he is the man with all the answers. He had to see how much he was exciting this child by answering all her questions.]]

[ 'child', indeed. he cocks his head at her. he doesn't look too fussed by the fact that she just called herself a 'curiosity core'. seems fitting. ]

There could be lots of reasons; you would know better than me.

Her loss is her ability to ask too many questions. xD

[[She hit her head against his shoulder and looked up at him. She suddenly looked tired.]]

"Humans have names and robot cores don't. I don't have a name."

[[She suddenly sat up looking surprised.]]

"Mister! I can't ask questions anymore. I keep trying and my mouth won't let me!"

[[She points to her mouth.]]

[ no... don't do that. don't pull at his weak spot for kids and people with name issues. stop. ]

[[So many name issues. CC waves her hands in front of her mouth.]]

"You can call me "CC" mister. It's like a name."

[[She struggles the next few seconds. It was as if everything she wanted to say was a question. CC kicks around and has a little tantrum.]]

"Mister! I don't know why I am lucky because I don't like this!"

[[She could barely get that sentence out without it being a question.]]

[ he lets her have her little tantrum for a minute before speaking. ]

You're lucky because you figured it out so fast. Calm down; it's not the end of the world.

"You're really calm about everything mister. I think that you are human! I think you're human because you look human. Hey! Hey mister! That must mean you have a loss too mister! You lost something too.

[[She's back to normal already. It was like she never had a tantrum.]]

"I wan't to know what it is!"

[ whatever this girl is, she's persistent. ]

I guess they didn't teach you about not judging books by their covers in core school. And that's a pretty personal question.

"Core's don't go to school!"

[[She nods, and stands up again. She just wanders around, looking under chairs, on tables, touching everything.]]

"You're secretive mister. I bet you have lots of secrets you didn't tell anyone. Did you kill someone mister? I think you killed someone."

[[CC looks relieved when she asked her question. She just has to be slow with them is that's all. She's about 8. Why does she know about killing.]]

"Did you shoot someone? With a gun? I wanna knooooooooooow!! I bet if I ask really really nicely you'll tell me one day. You have to promise me you will!"

[deminuit]

[ he watches her silently as she walks around, and then proceeds to answer exactly 0 of her questions. he's not disturbed by her questions, but his own curiosity is awakening more and more. ]

C'mere and sit, CC.

[[While he is silent, she doesn't react, too distracted by her curiosity. When he calls her, CC looks at him, looks at whatever she was observing, back at him, back at the thing and then wanders back. She sits down beside him and tilts her head.]]

So far, so good. [ he looks at her seriously. ] Forget your questions for now. Do you understand that you're in a different world and you're not getting out until you're booted out?

[[She nods.]]

"I understand, mister. I like this new place. I have fingers now, and I can move around and go wherever I want!"

[[She wiggles her fingers. Oh no CC, he told you not to ask any questions! But She can't hold them in.]]

"Can I stay with you? I promise I won't ask too many questions or anything! And if you get booted out I won't even try to follow you!"

[deminuit]

[ he regards her for a second. the last thing he needs to do is to go adopting small, possibly artificially created children. but. ]

Who took care of you at home?

[[She pauses.]]

"Aperture? Are you talking about Aperture?"

[[She shook her head.]]

"I'm a core mister."

[[She says that as if it's supposed to answer all his questions. Then she goes back to observing him, taking his arm, looking at it and poking at it. CC then stands up on the chair and sifts through his hair.]]

[ lsjdlkj cc what are you doing. he easily reaches back and lifts her up, and sets her down in front of him. ]

Is there something in my hair?

"Is there? I didn't see anything. Ewwwww, Do you have lice? Am I going to get lice? What are lice? Why do you have hair on your face mister?"

[[CC laughs, almost expecting him not to answer any of those questions.]]

"Are your legs broken? Can you walk?"

[[It occurs to CC that maybe her new friend cannot walk.]]

[ and indeed he won't. he raises his eyebrow, slightly amused. ]

[[CC says that as if she is educating him]]

I'm not standing because I don't feel like it. Do you know where your room is?

"Are you lazy? Can you still kill people if you're lazy?"

[[CC looks as if she's about to wander off again.]]

"Ooooooooooo! We have rooms too?"

[ a sigh, and he stands ]

Yes, we do. I'll help you find yours, but you need to keep it down.

[[CC's eyes suddenly get large when she sees him stand. She nods a million times when he tells her to keep it down, smiling and looking around. She is whispering to him.]]

"Why do I have to be quiet? Are people sleeping? Will they get mad if I'm too loud?"

[deminuit]

[ he beckons to her to follow as he walks towards the elevator ]

No. But I'm in the mood for some peace and quiet.

"Okay!"

[[She follows obediently]]

"I won't say anything else ever but before I'm shushed I want to tell you that you're a really nice person mister, and I won't tell anyone any bad things about you, even if they want me to!"
