[ Someone's finally taken the time to go a bit further out of the castle grounds - and to be honest, he was doing this to avoid people. Because he's stuck in his old armor and not particularly pleased about it, and doesn't feel like picking a place in the castle to hide, since it evidently didn't want him to hide out in his room...

Duke's found a spot near enough to the castle that he feels comfortable enough in his ability to get back on his own, and has settled under a tree.

Several small animals - squirrels, and birds, mostly - have joined him in his sitting outside.

... he might seem to be holding quiet one-sided conversations with them. ]



((OOC: Duke is currently somewhat stuck in his old armor from when he was a knight. Complete with the pony tail, but the sheath at his belt is empty. He's not that happy about this. Also he's a disney princess in disguise))

[Toothless could care less about the change of Duke's appearance. When he sees the man, his headfins go up, and he quickly trods over. The little animals immediately disperse away from the big dragon, but Toothless doesn't seem to mind or even notice as he comes up to him, giving a gentle hum of greeting.]

[ Duke tilts his head as the animals leave but - Ah! ]

[He curls lightly around Duke, laying down around him.

Finally. It's about time the two could just sit together in peace.]

Duke sits really still for while Toothless was moving, but once it sounds like the dragon is settled, he shifts, getting a feel for where he was.

... Not particularly comfortable today.. [ But carefully leaning back against him anyway. ]

[Martel sees him by the tree, wearing something more different than usual. And surrounded by animals. She blinks and walks over quietly.]

Duke, what are you wearing?

[ Duke's head goes up in her direction, somewhat distracted by a chittered description of the young woman. ]

.... Old uniform. Assuming castle's idea of a joke..

[She gently picks her way over and sits down next to him.] Why do animals like you so much?

... Tend to feed them what I cannot; perhaps that is part.
