I've been a military man practically all my life, spent most of it aboard one ship too. Have to say being stuck here is a new experience especially with the culture shock of it all. Most especially with you people claiming to be from Earth. [If he sounds disbelieving he's not sorry.] So what's it like?

Is being from earth really that strange? Kara said the same thing, when I talked to her.

Anyway, to answer your question, it depends on where ya go. I've spent the past few years in Central America. It's hot, it's humid, and there are bugs here the size of small birds, but it's a gorgeous area. All lush and green. And there are ancient Mayan ruins scattered in places you wouldn't expect. Definitely different than where I grew up.

Oh, she and I talked for a while about Earth when she first arrived here. I called her Starbuck at first, as that's how she'd referred to herself over the journal originally, but then she told me her name. We're actually...supposed to meet for a drink at some point, but I've been so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to get in touch with her.

I see. And that's not a surprise, Earth up until recently was a myth for us, we're all curious about it. And be careful drinking with her, you may not come back quite in the same shape you went out as you were before you left.

So you and Kara come from the same world? Must be nice. I mean...there are a lot of people from Earth here, but not my earth, you know?

I'll keep that in mind though. I'm not much of a drinker, so I'll make sure I pace myself.

For you it may be, not for me or the others from my fleet. We're from the Twelve Colonies of Kobol. [At least he knows Earth. Which is better then his home.]

I am not entirely sure what you mean by that -- where I come from, the planet is the world. There are various societies, though, and differences exist between them.

Diagnosis is either via a medical scanner from my home universe. It's only designed for use on humans, however. I can't guarantee effectiveness on non-humans.

Otherwise, it's general 20th century Earth methods with the equipment we have in the clinic. Ultrasound and the like.

Treatment depends on the condition, usually. Do you have further information?
