Would you leave the Castle now, if you could?

Friday was unfortunate. But for most of the year, surely it has given us a comfortable home and the most singular of friends.

And so, as for myself, I would not. I should like to tarry here a little longer, if only to relish the taste of liberty and the fruits of invention. Refrigerators are so magnificent!

[ With that, she will be in the kitchen with the fridge door open, sticking her hands into it with glee. ]

Lemonade. [ She takes another sip. ] It tastes much sweeter than even candied fruits.

Full of sugar. Don't drink too much, it'll make you sick.

There should be an expression, kisses as sweet as soda.

[A chuckle] It's nothing that magical.

[ She bites back a smile. ] It tastes magical enough.

Well, you've never seen magic, then

I thought the castle is magic. And the ghosts.

[He orbs out, as he orbed in, before reforming in the same spot.]

Now that is magic.

[heloise]

[ She is left stunned, staring at the spot where he disappeared and reappeared. ] That--yes. If people have learned how to do--that, why are there stairs?

To be boring?

Not many people can orb. I'm not even supposed to.

[heloise]

[ She bites back a smile. ] Why are you not supposed to orb?

Because orbing is a good power, and I'm a demon.

It kinda stings when I use them.

[heloise]

[ She furrows her brows, then chuckles. ] But that is silly. You can't be a demon.

You are looking at one grade-A, bona-fide, upper-level demon.

Don't worry, even when I'm not on a loss, I'm trying to kick the whole evil gig.

[heloise]

[ She keeps her furrowed brow and looks him up and down. She can never know for sure, she has never seen a demon before this. ]

Can demons repent?
