Friday was unfortunate. But for most of the year, surely it has given us a comfortable home and the most singular of friends.

And so, as for myself, I would not. I should like to tarry here a little longer, if only to relish the taste of liberty and the fruits of invention. Refrigerators are so magnificent!

[ With that, she will be in the kitchen with the fridge door open, sticking her hands into it with glee. ]

I believe so. [Not one that she's particularly good at, mind you. Her temper has a long fuse, but it is fearsome and she does not forget an offense.]

[ She will exhaust Rome's supply of lemons trying! ]

Then, though we are all worthy of love, you have a redeeming virtue in addition.

[She laughs] If you think yourself difficult to love, you are very much mistaken.

[ She chuckles giddily. ]

It is settled then. We shall both miss each other terribly if we must part.
