 ----tomfoolery?! What do you mean I, 'can't get back'? Why, that's preposterous!

 

You, over there. Please, tell me at once! I...I have a briefing to attend in but ten minutes! What could you possibly --No! I have no time for wanton merrymaking! I must get to the courthouse immediately!

 

Since when did eveyone become so miserly with mere directions? I simply want to know how to -- would you please cease that at once!

You have your job, and I have mine. I only know the ethics of my own profession.

I personally do not condone the loss of lives in any profession, to be quite honest. In a very general sense, of course. I do see a profession based on saving lives as more admirable, however.

...But I digress. What more can you tell me about this place?

Well, from what we know, the castle is in a self-contained universe. Don't ask me what that means exactly. I'm a doctor, not a physisicst.

And who, or where, did you obtain this information from?

Current residents. Ones who have been here a longer time than me.

[He leads Miles down the path towards the City Royale, snow crunching underfoot]

How long have you been here?

Just a few months, but it makes sense to investiage when you're in a new place. Especially if you're going to be treating the residents.

I was just mentioning the same to someone else, earlier. I do believe an investigative effort should be underway.

I think there's a few people in charge of that. I'd hail them over the journal, they might be able to assist.

Oh? No one had mentioned that before. That would perhaps save a lot of effort.

If not, I'm sure some of the older residents will be happy to assist. Most people are friendly.

I've been receiving a mixed bag thus far. Are we almost there?

[They round onto the Main Street of the City Royale, and it looks like an idyllic British town, cobbled streets and such like.]

Aye, nearly there. Which would you prefer, coffee or tea?

...Tea, definitely. Though I'd admit I'm not accustomed to seeing them offered separately.

...This place is rather interesting.

You should visit England or Scotland at some point.

And, aye, the City Royale is a lovely place. This way. I know this perfect little tea shop.

I have been to both, actually. Rather...I did not spend much of any time in Scotland.

When you get down to the little villages and towns, they're rather beautiful.

I, unfortunately, do not usually have enough leisure time for sightseeing.

This is a quaint, little place. A nice selection, too.
