Action | Face to face:
[Nina had been bracing herself for the sweltering, crackling heat of a burning library. Instead, no sooner has the glass of the window shattered and the fire extinguisher tossed away, than she finds herself what seems like the hallway of a luxury hotel.
It's such a strange slip of reality, of the kind Nina is not accustomed to at all, that her first and most immediate thought is that she must be dreaming. How much of what lead up to this is a dream, too? It seems impossible to tell.
But everything feels too vibrant and real to be a dream, somehow. She wars with two contradictory thoughts -- that she's dreaming or that she's been somehow taken here, either Johan himself or by someone hoping to curry his favor -- but neither of them truly make satisfactory sense.
She takes a few steps down the hallway, trying to orient herself. She must be losing her mind. That's the only possible thing that makes any sense. But how...? The thoughts swam even as she moved uncertainly down the hallway, trying to force herself to recall something to jar her back into reality. Nothing worked! Why didn't anything work? Her heart began to race, and she felt reality slip away from her no matter how she stuggled to hang onto it. This couldn't be happening! It couldn't be! The harder she tried to get a mental grip on reality, though, the harder it became to stay focused on anything but confusion and fear.
Out of the corner of Nina's vision, a door opened, but she couldn't get a word out before she fainted, hitting the ground.]
[ooc: Anyone who wants to can come take care of her. ;; She's going to need some help. I hope I've done everything right!]
Dictated | Unfiltered | Sometime later:
Is this how it's supposed to work? I think I've got it, but I'm not sure. This is so strange. I've never had to talk into a book before.
Should I introduce myself? My name is Nina Fortner. I want to make sure I understand this place, so if there's anything at all anyone can tell me, I'd be very grateful. I don't think this is right, though. Kidnapping people this way. I think that's --
No. One more thing. If you see a tall, blond, man with blue eyes, about twenty years old, please tell me. It could be very important.

OH HEY
He crouches beside her to check her wrist to make sure she's alive first, and under no threat of shock. Then he tries tapping on her cheek to wake her. ]
Hello. Can you hear me?
HEY :3
H-Hello. Yes, I can hear you.
[She reaches out behind her, using the strength of her arms to push herself into a sitting position.]
I'm sorry, I...

[The enthusiasm is deliberate, since Nina is talking to a child, but it's not at all fake. Nanako is so sweet.]

[Blinking, Nina looks around. It's still the same surroundings she remembers before she passed out, but that doesn't set her at ease.] Where am I?

A new arrival, then.
Well. This could be interesting.]
They call it Paradisa. Perhaps we should find somewhere comfortable to sit before I tell you more. [She really doesn't want you passing out again...]
