Simply what goes on there. I've found myself with a lack of discussion partners recently, and I remembered this.

Several things. Mostly research. Chimera has three main goals - Understand magic, understand Paradisa, and protect the residents. Nobody is expected to help with all these things, of course. Some people are more disposed towards academia than combat, or vice versa. My ongoing project is to catalog the magic of all current residents - how it works and what it can do and what can counter it, if, for example.

Counter it, if say someone was to go on a loss or similar? [She sounds thoughtful now.]

Exactly. How many people have gone on a destructive loss and we didn't have any idea what they were capable or wasted countless hours researching or asking their friends? With this information at hand it would cut the time it takes to plan a course in action down dramatically. Theoretically, anyway.

[Oh my God, he sounds like a wizard Batman with these contingency plans. And, y'know, no cowl or cape or broody personality. Maybe.]

And who has access to this information?

[Oh, the broody is definitely down there somewhere, under the surface. And his parents ARE dead...]

Only Chimera members. The headquarters are locked and warded when not in use, and only members are issued keys.
