[Lilah, like most people, is rather curious to why their journals are blank, but she's also rather amused by how paniced the others seem to be. Needless to say, it's the amusement that's expressed in her voice.]

You know, I would say it was a case of the Castle believing in new beginnings for a new year, but if that's the case it's rather slow on the uptake.

It's good to see that some things are universal though: people will always panic over change.

Not particularly. Change is inevitable in life. I'd rather accept it and adapt than fear it.

Even when the change may be... unpleasant?

Usually, it'll be much more unpleasant if you fight it.

And do you speak from experience, Lilah, or from hearsay?

[succubitch]

A bit of both.

Then I shall trust you in this matter as with many more, I hazard.

Is there change you fear? [he's curious. Plus, it could be useful to know. Lilah's always digging, looking for things that might come in handy later.]

I feared-- and then it came true. Now I fear no longer and so, perhaps, you are right.

See? It's freeing, deciding not to let fear take over.

Indeed. There is little to fear in this paradise.

You're one of the few people I've heard describe this place as a paradise, despite what the name implies.

There is little to worry about here. The castle may be manipulative at times but it is no different from elsewhere.
