[ She mulled over this for a while during that Pokemon world. Jenny intrigued her on various levels and she certainly didn't mind her company when they had run into each other. It was nice a breath of fresh air to be able to talk to another woman about the castle's mysteries and the residents without passing off as too nosy. Of course, Jenny could just be feigning ignorance of Kate's perceptiveness.

Either way, Brock and Molotov's wedding invite said bringing a plus one was fine. There was no way she was going to ask Renee; too many uneasy feelings made her feel on edge.

After a long pause, she dictates: ]

Got any plans on the twenty-ninth?

I wonder if filmmakers would kill for whatever it was that happened with the library a while ago. Who needs 3D when you can experience your favorite story with all five senses? Then again, it would have been much preferred had the history book I borrowed not stuck me in a corset.

Anyway, out of curiosity... how many world changes have there been in total here?

[ And for anyone wandering into the game room, Kate's seated in there, focused more on her journal than the movie that she paused anyway. ]

How many of those do we have here? [ Superpowers are usually the in thing, but she's seen a couple of swords. ]

Not a whole lot. Then again, I'm forgetting about 'guns' and all the mages.

[and she settles down to wait]

[ For a Bat, she's got a lot of guns in her own place back home. Of course, they belong to her father and not her. Kate likes the satisfaction of punching people, not shooting them. :'|

Ten to fifteen minutes later, there will be a knock at the door! ]

[psh. Enemies are easier to deal with when they're dead. Unless you want to extort something from them.

Opening the door!] Hello there. Care to come in?

[ It's hard to resist an invite like that. She strolls right into the room, immediately taking a look at her new surroundings. It's just a habit. The dagger is wrapped in some cloth in her hand, which she now holds out for Isabela. ]

I even polished it. Came in handy back then, thanks.

[it's a pretty old fashioned looking room. The stone walls have cloth hangings here and there. A large functional fireplace stands at one end while a four poster bed stands at the other. A sturdy oak desk occupies the space by the windows and is stacked neatly with maps and star charts - ones that she either managed to scrounge up or made herself. They're rough, but she can find her way if need be. Astrolabe, compass, quills, inkwell, and journal sit prominently on top. And a digital camera too, incongruously.

Scattered about the room are tidbits she's taken from around the castle or the town. Such as some of the shinier Christmas ornaments.

She takes the dagger, smiling.] I'm glad you found some use for it.

[she nods towards an armchair and starts walking towards a cabinet] Sit. Want a drink?

[ She's curious about the tidbits laying around, but she won't pry. God knows if someone had seen the room she stashes all her trinkets and equipment in (not to mention the cowl), she'd be playing the Q&A game with them for weeks.

A brief pause and she nods. ]

I could go for one.

[ It's the truth. Recently confirming her loss is indeed something from her memory and taking some hits from Spike while throwing her own. There's definitely a bruise on her face, but it's not as swollen as it was originally. ]

Your Pokemon didn't return with you? If you got one.

[she doesn't say anything about the bruise and just walks on over with two glasses and a bottle of whiskey. She takes a seat in the other chair and hands over a full glass to Kate.]

I did. I got some sort of parrot. Probably some sort of commentary on how I need to be more of a stereotypical pirate. [no hookhand, no peg leg, no eyepatch, no going 'Arrrr' every two seconds.]

I sent it out to say hello [read: to bother] to Fenris. That elf needs to get out more.

[ Whiskey actually happens to be her canon favorite, so she gladly accepts the glass. ]

I'm not sure what mine was supposed to be. It evolved too, but I'm glad it didn't come back to the castle. I'd need an extra bed just for it.

Fenris. A friend?

Not one for pets, hm?

[she nods] I've known Fenris for years. We worked for a mutual friend, you could say.

I've actually taken in a large dog recently. I can't imagine they would have gotten along. [ She has a plushie of Zorua sitting on a shelf now.

She takes a swig of her glass. ]

Must be nice to have a friend here.

We've got each others' backs. When I'm not annoying him, at any rate.

Why? Surely a good looking woman like you should have plenty of friends. Or admirers, at least.

Not to inflate my ego, but all of my friends and admirers are back home. [ She doesn't consider Stephanie a friend and Renee is her it's complicated on Facebook. ]

I'm honored, Isabela. [ She does a little fancy twirl of the hand as well. ]

[ There's definitely a pause here.

Kate's spent way too many months feeling bitter and beating herself up over things that in the end, she had no control over. Renee showing up was a slew of confusing emotions, but a part of her is sick and tired of the exhaustion trying to deal or figure it out. She needs to leave some things in the past and remember what this feels like. The tingling feeling of anticipation when you're alone with an attractive woman.

A smirk plays across her lips. ]

It's hard to resist an offer like that. Though, I'm sure you've heard it before.

So why resist?

[that's her, queen of giving in to temptation]

[ She sets her glass down, leaning forward in her seat. ]

Alright, I can drop all the formalities.

Good answer.

[she gets up and. Well. Enjoy a lap full of pirate as she leans in for a kiss]

[ She meets her halfway and enjoy she does. It's been too long since she's simply let herself enjoy anything like this. She kisses soft at first, drawing her hand up to Isabela's shoulder. ]

[she smiles into the kiss, and trails a feather light hand down Kate's side, coming to a rest at her waist.]
