I've been here for a year today. I always sort of thought I'd be sent home a long time before this actually happened. I guess it's still a little normal to miss home after this long, right?

I've lucked out, I think. Neither of my losses were that bad.

I guess it's good to keep an eye on the silver lining.

Normally when people hit an anniversary, they celebrate! I actually hit my three year anniversary on the twelfth.

Whoah! You've been here a while. People actually celebrate?

[gunslinger]

Sometimes. It's a way to vent their frustrations over what they've lost, and celebrate the friends they've gained in the process.

[hostess]

.. you're right. It actually seems a little selfish not to celebrate when you phrase it like that.

[gunslinger]

[ Oh sure make him feel bad for not celebrating! Not really he doesn't even celebrate his birthday, which was around the same time... ]

Maybe just a little bit. Do you want some cake?
