[ town filter / backdated to early afternoon of the 28th ]

[ Keeping promises in Paradisa has never been hard, Kate has to admit. She's not entirely accustomed to all of it, despite nearly hitting the two year mark. It all just means there's not much for her to take care of in the town each night, which does make work dull. She still longs every now and then for a good challenge -- like Spike was. It felt really good to not have to pull her punches or kicks.

But she pushes that to the back of her mind for now. She needs to be ready for the wedding tomorrow, so she might as well pick up a new shade of lipstick or nail polish to wear. She's not breaking her promise to Nanako on taking her out shopping. That girl was eager to spend some time with her. There's not much harm in it, anyway.

She waits at the entrance of the castle, the large Pyranees sitting at her heels quietly. ]

[In Nanako's mind, any time spent with friends was precious time. So after dressing up in a lovely spring dress and tying her hair into pigtails, she headed downstairs for a fun day of shopping! It honestly wasn't something she got to do often... after all, it's not something she would ask of Big Bro or Yosuke- so to say that she was excited was an understatement.

When she finally does get to the entrance, it doesn't take her long to spot Kate. So she'll just waaaaave and hurry over to say hello]

Hi, Ms. Kate!

[ There's a smile on her face as she turns her head to greet Nanako. The dog will crane its neck and sniff in her general direction curiously. ]

Hey. You all ready to go?

[adorbs]

[oooooh, a dog! Nanako looks a little shy when she sees the dog, but definitely curious :3 she obviously thinks he's a cutie, but doesn't have a ton of experience with dogs. Buuut, then Kate's question attracts her attention]

Uh huh! I'm ready. Do you know where we're going to go shop?

[gevurah]

There's one place having a sale for the rest of the week. I figured we could check that place out first, then get some lunch.

[adorbs]

O-Okay, that sounds like fun. [*^*] Sales are kinda fun... like a game!

[gevurah]

Hopefully we'll find something nice and at a reasonable price. [ She leads the way, offering the leash to Nanako. ] Want to walk him?

[adorbs]

[:D] Can I? He won't try to run away... right?

[gevurah]

Go ahead, he's surprisingly a lot tamer than I remembered.

[adorbs]

[hehe, then she'll tentatively take the leash from Kate, and wraps it around her wrist before holding it, just in case!]

What's his name?

[ A sheepish look as she pushes open the doors. ]

He doesn't have one yet.

[adorbs]

Are you having a hard time naming him?

[gevurah]

Guess so. Haven't thought of a name that would suit him.

[adorbs]

[hmmmmm]

What is he like? [she figures there's more to this doggy's personality then she can see in just these few minutes]

Pretty quiet now. I think he can be a bit wary of strangers. [ A pause. ] You have any pets here or back home?

[adorbs]

[she shakes her head] We couldn't have one back home... 'cause they'd be all alone while I'm at school.

But here I've had pets! I've had two cats.

[gevurah]

It's just your dad and you back home, right?

[adorbs]

Uh huh... And Big Bro, but he went home right before I came here.

[gevurah]

He doesn't live in your town?

[adorbs]

[she shakes her head] He lives in the city! So we can still visit him... but I'd never met him before he came to Inaba.

[gevurah]

Must have been exciting to meet him the first time.

[adorbs]

It was actually kind of scary...

[gevurah]

[ Walking along doop doop. ]

Because you had never met him before?

[adorbs]

[she nods!!] And he's really tall!

I didn't talk to him a lot at first... but then I saw he was really nice and we talked a lot.

[gevurah]

But he had to go home. [ She pauses. ] It must been hard.

[adorbs]

[ah.... she nods]

But he said he'll come and visit a lot, so I know I'll see him soon.

[gevurah]

[ Just as they enter the City Royale, she pauses to take a look around. ]

Any place in particular you want to stop at first? Or should we go straight to the sale?

[adorbs]

Um, I'm okay, we can go to the sale place first!

[gevurah]
