[Belle has been considering what has been going on lately in the Castle. The fairy tales, and the princesses and questing for something for a witch. it reminded her of home, and not exactly in all of the best ways. She was actually thankful she hadn't been caught up in it, because she'd had enough of witches and princesses, thank you. But now she was wondering how many people the Castle had made do this, exactly. And she hoped Rumpelstiltskin hadn't managed to get himself in trouble, either. Though it might be funny after the fact...]

...How many people managed to escape these fairy tales? [Anybody she knows?]

For once, I was left out. But you know, compared to past events, this one doesn't seem too bad.

It does seem slightly harmless. [As long as everybody goes back to normal.] It reminds me of home, actually, with all this talk of witches and princesses and quests.

... You know, I thought your name sounded familiar when we first met, but I just thought it was a coincidence... but if you say that...

Yes. [She pauses.] ...My name is familiar?

I've read plenty of fairy tales at home, and you share the name of a heroine in one tale! It's from a beautiful story called Beauty and the Beast.

[That's...strange.] What's it about?

Oh, it's one of my favorites! To make a long story short... Belle - um, well, I mean in this case, Beauty - her father came upon an enchanted castle that was home to a hideous beast. The Beast said he was going to keep her father as prisoner there forever, but Beauty offered her life in exchange for her father's freedom. Beauty and the Beast stayed together for a long time, falling in love... but her father thought she was still in danger, so he tried to get help from the villagers.

Eventually, there's the exciting climax between the Beast and this terrible man named Gaston, who selfishly wants Beauty for only her looks! Beast wins the fight, but he gets distracted by Beauty, and then Gaston stabbed him, mortally wounding him! Beauty was so sad, she confessed that she loved him... and it turned out that the Beast was a prince, under a curse! Her true love broke the curse, saved his life, and they married, living happily ever after.

Honestly, I half-expected to be sucked in with the rest of them.

So did I, actually. The Castle sometimes chooses strangely who it will take and who it won't.

I'm a little relieved. I don't mind wearing dresses, but I don't think I would like going through the rest of the story.

Neither would I. Fairy tales don't always end well. Hopefully this will.

It's always a toss-up with the castle. I've seen it do terrible things in the time I've been here.

Then again, I haven't heard anyone talking about seven little men, so maybe it's not following the stories exactly.

I wouldn't think the Castle would follow the stories exactly, either. It likes to surprise people. [Though she's not sure if she knows all of them, exactly.]

I'd manage to not get sucked into it, sweetie. And I'm very thankful for that, I don't think a dress would suit me. [Small smirk.]

Probably not. [She laughs.] I'm not sure what kind of prince I would make.

I'm sure you would be a fantastic one, love. [Smiles.]

[She laughs.] Are you always like this to ladies?

Only to special ones.. [He replies with another charming smile.]

[She shakes her head at his antics.] Right. And I'm sure every woman you meet is special.

Oh, not everyone. What would be so special with that? [Small smirk.]

Uh, I did. Looks like its a good thing, too. It's doesn't sound like fun so far.
[he got a good laugh at seeing some of the ridiculous get ups, though.]

It doesn't seem fun, either. I doubt it's permanent, but... still.

I know what you mean.
Uh, so far I've been lucky. My loss isn't that bad and I haven't had one of those temporary ones yet.

I'm not even quite sure what my loss is yet. So I doubt it could be something vitally important. [Except it has to be.]
