[As much as Rue had said she was happy to have friends and be with people... she's craving a little time to herself. She knows that all of her friends would stop her if she asked, and none of them want her staying by herself... so there's only one answer.

In the middle of the night she sneaks out of the castle and heads for the trees. She climbs the first one she reaches and hops between them to take herself further into the forest. When she finds one she likes she settles onto one of the larger branches and pulls out her journal]

I wanted to get outside for a while so I went to the forest. I'm high up in the trees and I made sure no one saw me go. I'll be careful, don't worry.

[That being done, she breathes a sigh of relief and looks up at the stars flickering through the leaves.]

((ooc: That's right. Rue's run away from home. She was ridiculously conscious of people around her when she left. She's very quick and hides extremely well... but she's not a ninja. So it wouldn't be impossible for someone to spot her leaving if they looked hard enough. Also open if anyone could/would see her up in the trees doing her thing :D))

[they haven't really spoken, but he knows how important Rue is to Katniss. and when he sees the filter, he knows she'll be distraught. he doesn't want to tell the kid what to do - if he knows Haymitch, she's had enough of that - but he'll just ... leave her what encouragement he can.]

There're some berry bushes with nets around them out in the woods ... if you need something to eat, those're safe.

She's usually not out during the night, but -- it never hurts to change things up a bit.

Alleria is silent in the woods, due to being both an elf and a ranger, so Rue might not notice her approach until she speaks.]

There are usually not animals in the forests, but I have heard of wolf sightings as of late.

[Mama Katniss can be a scary thing when the opportunity presents itself. Very scary. For right now, though, she's simply on a mission. The map may not be entirely specific, but she starts analyzing it almost immediately after it's drawn.]

[Dairine doesn't even bother responding. After looking over that map Rue drew for Alan ((assuming she can see it)), she transits straight to the woods. It takes quite a bit of walking, but eventually Dairine finds Rue's tree. She looks up between the branches, grinning slightly.]

You know, you could have just told me you were feeling stir crazy.

[She's... not in her usual clothes to say the least. Instead, Dairine is wearing a long jacket over a tunic, soft trousers, and knee-high boots. The jacket is deep red and decorated with fine golden embroidery, with small gemstones here and there. Her pants, belt, and boots all look like they're crafted out of pure gold, as well as the thin band of metal on her forehead. Overall, the effect is quite stunning.]

I just wanted to be able to be out on my own for a little while... I hope no one's mad.
