twenty-ninth phase [ dictated ]

Seems like the castle's been busy, given that I have two things now that I didn't have when I went to bed. I'm not the only one with a new book, right? A new book that seems to be just like the old one. I didn't know it was full, or could be since it had been filling up for years.

And then there's new thing number two. I'm trying to figure out if they're trying to torment us or if it's supposed to be nice.

[ Because something from home? Could go either way. And hers... was a reminder of something she didn't have? ]

One more thing we'll never know.

You're not. It seems like it's a castle-wide thing.

A good castle-wide thing or bad? I mean my old journal's still here so it could have just been full, right?

I'm not sure at this point.

I guess being full is the only logical explanation for it.

At least that's not a bad answer.

True enough, though it's a bit strange since it's never happened prior to this.

Maybe it's a big journal? It is magic.

The journal had to be big if it's been here with all that information for so long.

Maybe the magic that's been keeping it so big ran out and that's why we have a new one?

Right, that could be it. Maybe it only lasts a few years at a time.

Some people have been here like for four years? I wonder if anyone'll still be here in four years that got the new journal to tell us.

If any of us do stay that long, we'll find out that.

And there's a conundrum.
