[ The journal likes to prop itself open without warning, so here's another one of those times featuring Kate, who had been lulled into a nice, deep sleep after the fairy tales ended. No bears here, though. Just a dog barking loudly in her ear.

She jerks awake, knocking some books she had off the bed accidentally. More noise gets the dog barking again and she shushes him, but that's when she notices the length of her hair draped around her neck. Her hair hasn't been this long in some years. ]

Trying to figure that out myself. [ She thinks... she might have been on a loss, but who knows yet. ] My hair's... longer.

Ah, good.

It's fine, really. The barking sounds like a symphony compared to three am violin playing. [ Loud and mostly terrible violin playing. ]

I've always wondered this about humans, but to ask unprovoked would be boorish.

Doesn't it get very heavy when your hair grows out?

My hair's never been very thick, so I'm lucky it doesn't get too heavy.
