I would like to field a question, if I am able. Have any of you noticed something else missing? I have discovered what appears to be a second penalty since my return, and I am curious to see if it is an isolated case.
----
[Krasus tucks his journal inside his robe. Alexstrasza's tree has grown and bloomed since his last visit, its massive branches providing shelter and shade to all who require it. The tree is the most important link to his lifemate and his queen. Needless to say, he spends a lot of time here.
There is something different about this visit, however. Krasus is uncloaked, wearing the purple robes of the Kirin Tor instead. His skin is pale and his eyes are black-- something not typically seen on elves from his world, though the long thin ears are typical. His hair is a silver color, streaked with crimson and coal, and it falls free to his waist. Most notable are the three vicious scars on one side of his face. He is ageless and strangely handsome in spite of his battle scars, probably because elves-- or dragons in disguise-- don't wrinkle.
He presses one hand to the tree's trunk. His gaze is one of intense concentration, and beneath that, unabashed longing. The clearing suddenly lights up in a display of late spring blossoms. Roses of an ethereal red wrap around the tree-trunk-- perfect, thornless, and beautiful. He sighs and sits back down as if he didn't just make allergies hell for everyone.]

Her hesitation quickly fades when he brings forth the blossoms, and her eyes widen with wonder. She would always highly regard the magic of dragons. When she approaches, her voice is soft and her steps light.]
They're all so lovely.

Vereesa. Have you been well?

Not that a certain Assassin is very bothered by it, as he hasn't got an allergy to speak of (if you ignore his clear disdain towards large bodies of water—or any water that goes above his shoulders). He simply approaches the tree silently, but his presence is unmistakable. He makes no effort to hide it.
He presses his left hand against the bark as he reaches it, a sense of relief and calm washing over him like a fresh shower of rain. Why did he wait so long to come out here? It was foolish on his part. ]
It is still as beautiful as ever.
[ Did those words really leave his mouth? Yes, they did. He acknowledges Krasus with a incline of his head and a flick of his eyes from underneath his hood. ]
I am not missing a secondary item, or memory. [ But he does realize he remembers the Apple when before he could not. ] But I have been plagued with sharp pains within my head. [ Something that he is feeling even now, but always eases when he encounters others.
Yes, he didn't bother to use the journal to answer that question because he was already on his way here!! Deal with it.]

Greetings, [he directs toward Altair. Though his tone is a bit empty, that's to be expected until Krasus gets to know him properly. However, the unbidden answer to his question makes him straighten a bit.]
It may well be the castle's doing. I do not sense a hex upon you.

This male must be some kind of subspecies of Hu Man, with those ears... the cat cannot take his eyes off neither Krasus or the flower, the only thing moving is the tip of his crooked tail.]

You may approach, little one. I will not harm you.

She knows Krasus well enough to realize that seeing him uncloaked is significant and his actions only confirm her suspicion that he has something on his mind. But she's tactful enough to say nothing, at least not right now.]
Magnificent. [She will, however, comment on the flowers and the magic.]

I can almost feel her through the tree. I know that was not her intention when she made it, yet her strength lends itself well to others, as always.
[It goes without saying that he misses his queen a great deal.]
I can no longer return to Azeroth, [he says quite abruptly.]

But right now, she's decided to visit the tree. Alexstrasza once let her use it for Tanabata. Her wish hadn't come true yet... maybe. She's not sure. Being around the tree is relaxing, anyway.
She stops short of it, noticing there's someone else there. ]
Oh.

The tree is open to all. The Life-binder would insist on nothing less.

If I was to take a guess, I'd say that returning with our memories of Paradia intact may be to blame. It's not how things normally work around here, as I'm sure you know.

I hope I did not trap you within the flowers. It is very unkind to someone with pollen sensitivity.

However just as she's about to leave, she sees that display of magic.. and gasps. So beautiful!]

You are safe, little one. The queen who planted this tree is someone I admire very much.
