You know what would be awesome? Going a full week without ripping my costume. Considering I can't sew with leaving huge clumps of threads in it, and stabbing my finger every five seconds it would be like a dream come true. And oh sure, I could just wish up a new version of the suit, but where's the fun in doing things the easy way? I've never done anything to make life easier for myself, why start now?

[ A pause. He does miss that. He had a few people like that at home. He had Kallen here, but he and Kallen, well he'd gotten wrapped up in himself after everything that happened to Nancy, and he's kind of thinking he might have burned that bridge to the ground.

And then there was Nancy, and considering how she'd ended up being a spy the fact that she knew his identity was kind of unsettling. ]

Sounds nice, but the last time I did that I found out the person wasn't who they claimed to be. I don't have a good track record with these things.

[ She's that person, for people at home. Mostly because she's almost incapable of being anything other than what she is. She's not very good at deception - trust me, if he'd seen her try, he'd understand why. It just so happens that her best friend for many years happened to be manipulating her the entire time, all along. She understands.

Esther could be a trustworthy person for him, if he wanted.]

I don't think you can reasonably say that it's your record. Isn't that someone else's fault, too?

[ Don't worry, though, she's not being overly pitying. In fact, she's focusing a lot on sewing here, and not stabbing herself in the finger!]

[ It might take awhile, but hey the fact that she's fixing his mask without demanding an identity is already a plus in his book. ]

[ He's watching that, and is pretty impressed! He's only ever watched MJ sew before. ]

[ She can do her best! It's not as if she'll be rushing him or anything - that's not her style and she's got her own worries. ],/small>

Mmm, that's true! I guess I'm one of those people who never learns!

[ A little self-deprecating laugh, too and a hiss once she stabs herself. But her sewing is neat, surprisingly, no matter how clumsy she seems.]

[ Self-deprecating he understand, that's kind of how he tends to handle things himself. The hiss of pain he does notice though. ]

You okay? Need something, a band-aid, some peroxide?

[ A wary smile. She's actually had way worse than a prick from a needle, though she doesn't look it. ]

For this? I'm not even bleeding! Besides, I'm almost done with your mask, anyway!

[ It is admittedly something he would not have guessed from a nun of all people. ]

Props to you for that then. Whenever I've tried messing with a needle I lose at least a pint of blood.

[He probably wouldn't guess that her other weapon is a semi-automatic rifle.]

It takes lots of practice! And lots of blood, too, before I learned how.

I'll just leave that one to you then. I think I'm good with keeping the majority of my blood inside my body.
