So I guess if everyone here isn't totally of their rockers and making things up - [There's a pause, and the sound of cereal being poured into a bowl] -a lot of people around here seem to know who I am?

[She stops for a few more seconds, to take a few bites of Froot Loops and figure out what to say next.]

My name's Coraline Jones - Coraline, not Caroline - and if you've met me before, I'd really like to know, alright? No more of this creepy stuff where people keep knowing my name. I've had enough of that for a lifetime.

[She leaves the journal open on the kitchen counter to wait for a reply, and goes back to eating her super-healthy, balanced cereal dinner, meticulously picking out all of the blue pieces to eat first.]

What was his name... W-something. Wesley? Whyly? Although, I think he answered to two names, now that I think of it.

"Whyly"? What kind of a name is that?

[He laughs.] A strange one, I suppose.

I hope we can be friends once again, though.

Just great. Being stuck here is tons of fun.

Yeah, but have you found the Insolitus again, yet? You loved that place, last time you were here. It's a giant indoor maze that changes every once in a while.

Woah... [Her tone is one of slightly hesitant awe. She knows by now not to trust things that sound really flipping awesome.] That does sound really cool.

It really is! It keeps changing, so you hafta bring a string along so you don't get lost.... and sometimes of you go in too far, there are weird creatures that show up, but we took a picnic in once and went exploring. I'd be happy to go again sometime!

They shouldn't act surprised... It's common for people to forget when they leave. Residents returning with memories is only a recent occurrence, and that knocks me on my ass more than anything.
