[ He didn't really sleep last night, he spent most of it staring at a wall until he finally caved and dragged himself out into the kitchen. (It was early morning at this point.) Making the pot of tea didn't really help with the whole sleeping thing, but it was at least a decent distraction.

God, he needs something better to do than stare at walls and make pots of tea.

So now he's sitting at the kitchen table (of the flat) with his journal, slowly draining that pot of tea he made. Oh, it's a wonderful life. ]

Anyone got any suggestions on what someone can do when they can't sleep to save themselves? And don't say knitting, I'm absolutely terrible at knitting.

Oh, is that all? Man, I never understood doctors anyway. I don't think I'd be missing anything.

It's only ever a problem when people start asking me to explain things.

Was. Honorably discharged due to injury. The training stuck to me like glue, couldn't shake it off even if I tried.

Well, that's their problem.

Oh yeah, tell me about it. A dart to the face is really going to deter people from causing shit. [Oh, she is so bitter.]

[But then that gets a little deflated sigh from her.] Yeah, training's a little hard to kick. I still carry my pistol around, even if it's useless. Just don't feel right without it.

They're going to be absolutely terrified.

I know that feeling well. [ He doesn't go anywhere with his. ]

I'll be the terror of the castle before too long. [She chuckles darkly.]

So you carry one with you, too? Or do you just suffer through without it?

I carry, it's something of a bad habit. [ Something that he's taken to doing a lot more recently. ]

Really? How do you think it's a bad habit, here? [Dude, even if her ammo were entirely unaffected she would still be carrying it around. Of course, she did get shot five minutes into her arrival, so she's got a good reason to start with.]
