So, the best way is to lay the baby down on a towel or something to keep the mess contained!

Well, once you have a clean place to put the baby down, place him or her on the blanket or towel. You should have a fresh diaper and baby powder ready.. and some wipes, of course!

Right... diaper th'- ...is th' powder really all that important.

[ He sees it. All the way on the other side of the room. Sitting on top of the dresser. ]

Oh, yes! The powder is very important - it keeps the baby's skin from being irritated, which leads to less crying for you!

No! I don't know th' first thing about takin' care of babies! I'm a detective, not a babysitter.

[ He's just gonna pick up baby and more over to collect the powder from the dresser. ]

Once you have that, pull the dirty diaper gently off the baby, lifting up his or her bottom by the ankles if you have too to keep the poor thing from getting too dirty!

[This is kind of the part that takes courage. Some people aren't comfortable handling children that way.]

Then use the wipes to clean up u-um.. whatever mess is left!

And after you've cleaned up all the mess - make sure you get all of it, spread powder on the baby's bottom!
