❀ forty-nine unicorn statues for my desk in the empty office
[Harmony takes a small breath inward, trying to figure out what to do. His last appointment had left hours ago, but he hadn't come out of his office. It was possible that he didn't come out of his office, because he wasn't in his office. It gave her a sick feeling in her stomach, because as she got closer to the castle, she got an even worse feeling. By the time she got to where his room should be, she had already decided that she wouldn't cry.]
Doctor... [Another small breath, she's not going to cry.]
Doctor Lance Sweets isn't here anymore. [Exhale.] He's probably back in DC helping the FBI or something else amazing.
He helped so many people and I really hope that if you knew him, like I knew him, that you agree with me.
I'm not sure what I'll do with his office in the city. I signed paperwork with him, so I know that it's mine now, but I'm not exactly a psychologist -- but if anyone ever wants to talk, I've been told I'm a pretty good listener. [Sort of.]
I -- [She pauses, trying once more not to get too emotional.]
I can't play piano, like at all, but if anyone wants to come to Caritas tonight, to honor him, I'd like that.
[And with that, Harmony'll pack up her journal and head out to Caritas. She will be drinking... something tonight and trying not to request Wind Beneath My Wings for karaoke.]

[Losing the castle's only shrink is all kinds of bad. Now who is York supposed to verify his head's screwed on right with?]

[He sighs.]
Well, I was counting on him, you know?

You okay?

Yeah. He really was an adorable boss. I mean, I know that's not the right qualification... but he was.

Hey, I was just thinking about you.

Uh-oh. Am I in trouble?

I was just thinking about all the good things Lance did and how he would've been glad to know that people can remember being here. I think a lot of people get upset when people just forget.
no subject
He sounds like a great guy. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to know him.
no subject
He would've liked you. I know that for a fact. [She nods, mostly because Lance was a bit of a geek and when Harmony would be all fondly remembering the past or even when she was training with Dick previously, Lance always approved of her friendship with Dick over the rest of the men.]
