[Adachi's had a couple of a days to think about things now that a certain holy-crap-you've-grown-way-too-much-in-the-past-year-wtf 5 year old has reappeared in the castle. And he's handling it alone this time. Sure he had figured that his "baby mama" had gone home; you're bound to pass everyone at least once when you wander around as much as he does. It's not like the castle even has a population anywhere near the size of Inaba after all (maybe Inaba's high school). Bright red hair, kung fu moves, an outfit like that, it was hard to not notice someone like that even if he wanted to forget the whole thing had happened. And when you don't see them around anymore...

But he never imagined he would have to play single father to their kid because of that.

She was upset at first and acted well... different than he remembered her being for the first few days (it definitely reminded him a little of how Nanako dealt with things, and just like with her, he didn't know what to do). But she seemed to be handling it a lot better now. Back to herself. Maybe magic castle babies just had an easier time dealing with the castle's whims. At least she'd taken to his pets really well: Blacky seemed to adore her.

So now he's sitting in front of his journal, outside, alternating between skimming the journal and watching her run around, investigating things with a little "detective's" magnifying glass, with his Vileplume right behind. Finally he starts speaking to it.]

I didn't think the castle would actually bring a kid back if one of the parents was sent home... Guess that was too naive of me, huh? I should know better by now...

Um... [for some reason this just feels difficult to ask, unlike the pets problem his last post was about] This feels a little weird but... if anyone has any advice I'd... appreciate it. Last year her mom was the one who did all the playing and stuff with her. I don't really... know where to "start" with this single parent thing.

[Zelos was very content on avoiding practically everyone this week, buuut when he spots Adachi and a kid from afar, he can't help but approach- watching for a bit and gauging the situation. ]

[Adachi's now caught up to his kid, who is crouched down, looking at the ground with his magnifying glass]

"I found a suspicious foot print!"

Um... wow, really?

"Yeah! See, see!"

[he leans in for a closer look at where she's pointing]

...That's definitely something's foot print all right.

"But isn't it weird though? There's no wildlife here!"

Oh... there isn't? [GUESS WHO NEVER NOTICED]

"Yeah! It's a mystery! I've got a mystery!"

Wow, you sure do! You should try to solve it, okay?

"Okay!"

[She starts slowly following the foot prints she found. He... doesn't have the heart to tell her that's Vileplume's foot print.]
