Case 9
[There's the sound of crashing and then some quiet meows, followed by the sound of something very glass like shattering. Followed by a very angry growl from a man.
You know he had been planning on making a nice little entry into the journal but then his kids (kidens?) got into trouble. And he was not about to deal with an angry mother cat if he talked into the journal before rescuing them from whatever mayhem they were doing in his room.
Kittens secured he brought them over and plopped them onto his lap before talking, and sounding a little more frustrated than normal.]
Does the castle just have a particularly nasty sense of humor or does it enjoy tormenting those of us who have dear friends presently on animal losses? [Hi guys guess whose kids are animals?]
I apologize in advance if anyone is tormented by two small white kittens, and there is no white cat in the area. [Arrgh why did they have to get his brains? Those kittens escape him and now there's the sound of jingling but he doesn't seem bothered by it as he goes on.] And I ask that you well, make sure they are not getting into too much trouble if you do see them.
[And juust as he's thinking they're not going to cause any more trouble there's a now a tea stain on the journal page and groan. Way to go kittens.]
((OOC: Feel free to have seen the kittens around anywhere in the castle, possibly with a large white cat!))

/sneaks in like a liar
She'd left them until the crashing and grumbling woke her. So padding through slowly (and cautiously) from the other room is said white cat, now with one wet foot that she's shaking off because whatever the kittens knocked over (a vase) had water in it.
Honestly, James, they're kittens, and they're your brain. You can't keep them safe for a minute? ]
/sees no lie >>
Don't give him that silently judging cat look because he's being outsmarted by mischievous kittens. And they're perfectly safe, just making a mess of things and scaring off Toby and Thad, who are hiding under the sofa.
So he looks over at her as he picks up the kittens by the scruff of their necks and plops them in his lap again.]
They're fine, they just decided to make a mess is all. I'll clean it up and get you a towel if you like.

Jumping up onto the couch Helen checks the kittens quickly before looking up at him, still 'judging cat look', before lightly nuzzling her babies. No towel for her, though there may be a wet foot spot where she's stood ]

No wait]
James are you trying to tell me you're the proud father to some kittens?
no subject
No the castle just decided to gift me with kittens because it assumed I was lonely with Helen as a cat.

Are they like... people-cats?

But kittens?]
Some days I wish it were less predictable. [Ignore the meowing over here Galadriel as James just scratches under their chins now that his journal is at least sorta dry.]

[Galadriel may ignore the meowing, but someone isn't. There's the sound of small feet scrambling over and then a tiny voice pops up.]
It's a kitty!
no subject
[Yes yes he knows all about that. And alsjdl aww he hears that voice and the kittens struggle to get to the journal and pat at it.]
Actually there's two here. [...with no names.] You're child I take it?
