Okay. Terrere Tower, 2001. It's almost right off the lobby.

[By the time he gets there, Eri (the half-troll) is mostly occupied by the playground inside the room, although it's still a little too big for her. Meanwhile, Grubface appears to think everything is edible. Aradia is trying to wrangle both of them without success.]

[well Peter is in a tower too so... yeah, it'll take a while for him to get there]

[All righty, then he'll be walking in on her as she starts getting frazzled.] Eri, for Pete's sake, get down off of there, that's an irreplaceable artifact! [And picking up grubface with both hands and a grunt, since he's about the size of a large baby.] And you - get that out of your mouth...

... Oh! Hi! I didn't hear you come in. [@ Peter]

[a sheepish smile] Yeah, sorry, I should've knocked.

[psych0p0mps]

No, it's all right. So you are ......... I should've asked your name. Ow-!

[Yeah, trying to take away grubface's nomming material just resulted in her fingers getting nommed with it. She shakes them out and sucks on them for a second.]

I'm Peter. And these are your... kids?

[psych0p0mps]

[Nods. At least she got the dust bunny away from the grub though. Eri toddles over and pokes it.]

This is Eri, and this little fatty is Mushio. And I'm Aradia. [Introducing herself is an afterthought.]

[spongetastic]

Nice to meet you. [he gets down on their level and tries to look non-threatening]

[Mushio, in her arms, sticks out his little orange tongue at the newcomer. Eri is shy, though, and shuffles around to hide behind Aradia's legs, clutching at her skirt. Aradia pats her on the head, between her lil horns.]

Don't be scared. He is apparently trustworthy.

Okay, guys. I promise that this won't hurt at all.

[he tilts his head to the side, listening. Who knows what he's going to hear in their heads, if anything]

[Eri's thoughts can be heard somewhat, but she's pre-verbal, so it's mostly just a feeling of apprehension toward Peter and attachment to Aradia. If Peter's powers also work on aliens (although canonly, troll telepathy barely works on humans), Aradia's thoughts are mainly curiosity at him, and slight irritation at the kids; Mushio's are hunger, more hunger, and physical discomfort.]

[after listening to all these for a moment, he scoots back]

Mushio's really hungry, and Eri is attached to you. That's all I'm getting.

Hm. You can't check out their memories or anything? I mean, Eri might not have any since she's new, but grubface was here last year.

[Also why is he hungry when he just ate a ton like half an hour ago 0_0]

Sometimes I can see things if I touch people. If that's okay.

Yeah, go ahead. [She inclines the wriggling Mushio toward him. Eri seems to be getting over her shyness a little, and steps forward a bit, her fingers in her mouth.]

[he puts his hand on Mushio's shoulder, waiting to see if he can see any of the kid's past history. Of course emotions and thoughts might get in the way. He hasn't exactly figured out how to control this power, sigh]

[Mushio doesn't have shoulders yet, he is a grub! Peter can put his hand on his head or something though. He doesn't really understand what Peter's saying, but babbles back at him nonetheless.] Abllll ba ba ba.

[Current emotions and thoughts: that he is very hungry, and feels very stiff. It's as if his skin is too tight, although he does not know to make that comparison. That's just what he's feeling.]

Hmm. No, I still can't really see anything.

[looks at his hand thoughtfully, Maybe it doesn't work on non-humans? He has no way of knowing]

[Aradia frowns, but doesn't want to give up just yet.] Huh... try it one more time?

I'm not sure if it works on them. But I can try again if you want.

[Shrug] It couldn't hurt.

Is there an object of theirs that came with them when they arrived?

Uh... I don't know. Mushio didn't have anything, and I wasn't around when Eri showed up so I don't know about her. [Do they come with clothes???]

If you had something of theirs I could try and see their history.
