Hey, have any of you seen Spike, lately? The last time I saw him, he ... really didn't seem like himself, and I haven't heard from him in a while. I'm gettin' kinda worried.

Wow, now that Pete's pack is done, I've got a whole bunch of stuff I could get down to. Maybe I should just go right down the list. [he clears his throat] Anyone else out there who's been doing research on Paradisa, feel free to chime in, I'm just sort of dictating notes and questions and stuff for my own benefit.

[he can be heard puttering around his room in the background: feeding Blue and Dumbo, tinkering with ... a something ... in the background ... there's also the occasional interjection from his Litwick]

I really oughta go through the old journal and consolidate all the research from the Skinny Creeper Incident last spring ... I don't ever wanna see him around again, but it'd be good to have it all in one place in case something like that ever happens here again. Which - from what I heard about the Pokemon being a reoccurring translocational shift, we might wanna prepare for just in case. I know everyone has been saying this place doesn't like to repeat itself, but we might've reached the jinx limit on that one.

Speaking of jinxes and Paradisa changing its patterns - hey, could I maybe talk to those of you who've either been knocked out and come back with new memories, or any of you who ended up living somewhere else for a while, like Paris or Castelia City? I've got a couple of theories, and the castle likes messing with my equipment whenever I try to test them, but having good old-fashioned oral reports and written research never hurt anything.

As for the kids, I uh ... wow. I'm kind of having birthday party flashbacks. It's a long story. At least most of them seem friendly, though, not a bunch of shin-kicking, He-Man loving, ungrateful little yuppie larva. That's a nice contrast. I hope all of you who wound up being parents are doing okay.

Assuming you're referencing the incident I think you're referencing, I made a compendium of it for my own records months ago. I'll admit my data is incomplete, though, only had what the journal could offer me. Last spring is a bit before my time.

If you could. Be as detailed as possible but try to keep sensory memory out. Been long enough that it's most likely been warped, not of much use to me. Not really interested in the overall response of the residents at large, either, got enough of that when I went through the journal the first time.

I've even got a compilation of all the data that was gathered - articles, papers, stuff like that. Some people read stuff aloud over the journals, but not all of it was recorded in 'em. I'll get it to you.

My clearest memories are from the exorcism - I wouldn't trust my memory of the research process, lots of sleepless nights there.

Both've happened to me. About half a year ago I got knocked out, came back with about two years worth of memories, among other things, and I'd been living in Nimbasa City when we were all in Unova, came back with another two years worth of memories, on top of a life lived there.

Oh, wow, you're really lucky then! [someone has a bit of a skewed perception] Have you noticed any increased susceptibility to losses or other castle-based phenomena since either of those occurred?

That's a way of putting it, yeah.

[He thinks on this a bit. He hasn't had a loss since he came back, but he had more than a few before he'd left, after he'd gotten his face back.]

Not since I've come back, but after I'd gotten knocked out months back, I was turned into one of the ponies, while a pony friend was human. After that, I was a Labrador for a few weeks. Right before I left...I felt like I was due for another, one I was hoping to avoid. Guess it's only a matter of time before the castle decides it's my time again.

So, you -- wait, am I hearing you right? You had a sense of what was actually going to happen to you? I've never heard of that happening before. What was it?

Hmm. Well, I was in Unova for some time, so perhaps I can answer your questions.

That'd be great, if you don't mind! I'm just ... trying to get a handle on how the paranormal energy in this place works so that we can deal with emergency situations a little better. Right now the tech I have is kinda touch-and-go ... it either works or it doesn't, and that's no way to have to go into a situation where people could really get hurt.

It's very possible the castle is blocking them, then, though of course I always suggest testing an experiment with two or three different kinds of energy as a source if one seems to be unreliable.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is. It wouldn't even let me do my own cranial scan when I woke up from one of those cross-dimensional out of body experiences.

I can only wire the PKE to run on two sources of energy, though: electricity and those blue crystals. D'you know a third I could use? [science first, questioning later]

You and me, both. To be perfectly honest, the best first step to keeping it from happening is to not mention him by his proper name. Creatures like that get power from their name, so to call them something else or not name them entirely keeps them from regaining their strength. It's a paranormal concept older than the hills.

As to what to ask ... hm. Let's start with the basics. Until you started remembering Paradisa, did you think you'd lived there all your life?

Ah, yes.. I-I do remember someone saying that when it happened now. I'm sorry... [And, so far, there really isn't anything paranormal in her world either to remind her of that.]

Um, anyway. I...I did think that Unova was my home, and that...I had spent my entire life there.

Oh, sure, Phoebe! I'm mostly looking to talk to people who had memory alterations, like I did when the lobsters knocked me out, but it'd be great to get a witch's perspective on all of this. The more data I have, the better.

Oh, they're ... basically really snobby young people who think they're cool just because they have money. But in reality they're all idiots. And their kids are even worse. Trust me, I speak from experience.
