03 ♫ yeah it's dictated
Time works rather the same here as it does anywhere else, does it not? In that case, it's nearly June. [ ... ]
I believe that it's time to begin planning a celebration. While this dingy castle is hardly the same quality of estate that I'm used to, it'll have to do for now. These ghosts-- they can provide catering, can't they? I don't suppose anybirdie else here would be willing to do it, cut off from my funds as I am in this wretched place.
[ GOD BEING TECHNICALLY POOR IS SO HARD EVEN WHEN YOU'RE IN A CASTLE THAT GIVES YOU EVERYTHING??? ]
As much as I hate throwing my doors open when there are so many commoners lurking about, I suppose the lot of you are invited. Save any unsavory types, of course-- Sakazaki, that means you! I don't want any disruptions. This will be an affair of quiet dignity and grace.
The event will be scheduled to occur on the 23rd of this coming month. Write it down! This book fills up far too fast to be reliable, and I'll consider it a personal affront if anybirdie fails to show. [ but sakuya ... ] Understand?

Christmas isn't for another six months, you know! There aren't any other reasons to have such a grand event. [ duh. :| ]
no subject
There are plenty of holidays that happen before Christmas, though ...
no subject
[ a beat. ] You won't be able to, of course. There aren't any.
no subject
I mean, I didn't even know what Christmas was until I got here.
no subject
I'll give you an C for effort, however! Not a bad showing... for a commoner.
no subject
[... oh. he's one of THOSE guys. ino debates for a moment before .... yep, setting her laser to "TROLL", and huffing dramatically.]
And how dare you call me a commoner! Do you even know who you're talking to?
no subject
Should I care who I'm talking to? If you're not even from the civilized world, it hardly matters to a noblebird like me. [ yes. he really is one of those guys. ]
no subject
I would think someone like you would care that you're talking to a princess, but if you'd like to keep being rude and not show me the respect that I deserve, then by all means.
[ ... it's sad that she really doesn't have to try that hard to act this out.]

It is a very close call, to be fair. I don't blame you for failing to notice it without my guidance.
no subject
[she is still not very impressed]
no subject
I'm simply extending a wing in a gesture of good will, as is my duty! That is why it's imperative that everyone should attend. [ sound... logic... right? ]
no subject
I don't really get the point you're making here. [is it that fabled noblesse oblige thingamabob?]
no subject

You'll show up, won't you? [ his tone of voice implies that it's more of a statement than a real question. ]
no subject
... eh. [Hmmm.] Well, I might still be around... so if I am sure I guess. [A party, WHY NOT? She can always sneak out if it's terrible. Or fake her own death to get out of staying.
Or something.]
no subject
"You guess?" That's hardly the right attitude to have in response to such an exclusive invitation! You should be more grateful than that. [ he's dead serious, of course. ]

[ ugh that's really dangerously close to compliment territory though-- ] Look-- just give a better answer instead of something so unsure!

Good enough.
You should really be more assertive. You won't get anything you want by being so meek!

I'm already being incredibly magnanimous by inviting you-- and giving you advice to boot! At least try to be polite. [ huff! ]

Just remember this lesson in the future. I won't accept anything less.

Don't be a child!

There's nothing in the world that could call my bravery into question even the slightest bit! Don't flatter yourself so much, it's unbecoming. [ ... wait ]
no subject
Well I'm calling it into question. So there.
no subject
[A pause, and then]
Will there be women?
...also I just realized you said "anybirdie", why did you said "anybirdie"??
no subject
[ he pauses, too. ]
-- What kind of a stupid question is that? There isn't anything else to say, is there!

[He is indignant that you would ever say such a thing, and he isn't even sure why!]
[dictated] and backlogged obvs
Sakuya, it sounds like you've been longing for a Le Bel style soiree for a long time!
