I believe that it's time to begin planning a celebration. While this dingy castle is hardly the same quality of estate that I'm used to, it'll have to do for now. These ghosts-- they can provide catering, can't they? I don't suppose anybirdie else here would be willing to do it, cut off from my funds as I am in this wretched place.

As much as I hate throwing my doors open when there are so many commoners lurking about, I suppose the lot of you are invited. Save any unsavory types, of course-- Sakazaki, that means you! I don't want any disruptions. This will be an affair of quiet dignity and grace.

The event will be scheduled to occur on the 23rd of this coming month. Write it down! This book fills up far too fast to be reliable, and I'll consider it a personal affront if anybirdie fails to show. [ but sakuya ... ] Understand?

Well, the castle puts on a pretty big celebration for Halloween, usually ... and this past year there was a holiday called Diwali. There's all kinds of important holidays from other places!

I mean, I didn't even know what Christmas was until I got here.

Just because you've been deprived of such basic knowledge in regards to special events doesn't mean we all have, of course. I've never heard of Diwali-- therefore, it can't possibly be on the same level. And Halloween is a festival of childishness! It's nowhere near as important.

I'll give you an C for effort, however! Not a bad showing... for a commoner.

I haven't been deprived, it's just not celebrated where I come from. You've probably never heard of Diwali because it's not celebrated where you come from. And for your information, it was very beautiful, and not freezing cold like it is at Christmas.
