LUNAR FESTIVAL | DAY ONE | ELDERS & FEAST

[Another day in Paradisa. One decorated in lights of all sorts-- lights and lanterns gracing each building in a warming array of colors and brightness. It seems to be something rather festive, a delightful change in the scenery of the castle.

In the courtyard, two bright lights can be seen stretching high into the sky, shining even in spite of the broad daylight.

What could be under these lights, one may wonder, as they catch the eye of any onlooker... in which there seems to be two figures beneath them.

Now, do you find interest in them, the increased number of fireworks within one's reach, or the feast that seesm to begin to pique within the lavishly decorated dining room?

And what is with these red envelopes?]

Since time does not move here, I would not be bothered by the prospect of staying longer. Just like a dream, you see?

[ A small comfort, but Kate is bent on finding out more about the Religion of Crime. ]

And when we are sent back, our memories are erased. Like it never happened.

Sometimes when you wake up, you remember nothing as well.

[ But enough with the comparisons. ]

So you find our time here futile because we can remember nothing of it?

Not futile. [ Shakes her head. ] As long as people continue to be brought here, someone will pick up the pieces in our place.

Just confusing.

Yet I have heard that things is often left incomplete.

Perhaps if we have records?

The library only has one of the former expedition leader's notes. Raine Sage was her name. There were reports in the journal on the other expeditions, but you might have to borrow an old journal to read about them.

[heloise]

Raine Sage. [ She makes a little note to herself. ] Do you have an old journal I could borrow?

[gevurah]

[ A beat; is it possible for her to lend out the old journal without Lucrezia seeing the private content? She hasn't a clue how the filters work when in someone else's hands. ]

I do. You can only read from it nowadays. Can't do anything else. It's stopped functioning the way our current journals do.

[heloise]

That is alright.

You could watch me while I read it, so I do not venture into records you do not wish me to see.

[gevurah]

[ She blinks. That's true, but from there on out she's relying on Lucrezia's words. ]

Alright. We could do it over lunch. [ Because she sleeps through breakfast. ]

[heloise]

[ Access to the expedition notes and company for lunch. How can she say no? ]

I should offer you my hospitality then. You are welcome whenever is best for you.

We've got more than enough time here. After the festival's over, then?
