1st Problem; Dictated

[Walking around a corner and finding themselves in a rather posh-looking bedroom in the middle of what looks to be a castle, Wyoming smells a trap- and probably someone using a teleporter as well as far as he's aware. Neither he nor his onboard passenger have noticed the open journal yet.

If it's a trap, maybe he can get whoever set it up to talk. ]

Well this is certainly new. I can't say I remember anything like this near the area I'd been residing in, but lets cut to the chase.

We have important business to attend to, and I would appreciate if someone would tell me where I am. It's quite urgent, you see. Not something I can just walk away from right now.

[A much more robotic voice adds the last bit. For some, it might even sound similar to a voice they've heard before.

He doesn't mean it, as should be slightly obvious. Neither Gary nor Wyoming trust whoever it is that brought them here, and the AI wouldn't tell the truth even if he did. Deceit is more fun anyways.]

[Carolina does her best to keep her anger down about the mention of Texas. Still, even after the time away from the Mother of Invention, Carolina hated the woman, to the core. The reminder that Tex, in Carolina's mind, had been one of the causes of York's death ratchets that hate another level higher.]

York isn't gunning for you. He won't be a threat here unless you are.

[She forces her tone neutral, but bits of terse, burning anger break through on a few syllables.]

[Wyoming is already agitated enough by the magic castle that being asked for the third or fourth time not to kill York is just adding insult to insult to failed plan. He's already said too much that he probably shouldn't have-it's time to just reiterate some old news.]

Then I see no gain in attacking a dead man.

[Carolina bristles underneath her helmet at the continued reminder that York has no future back home, that he's already set to die, that there's no ho---

No. She'd decided that she'd do everything in her power to stop that. She would somehow prevent his death. ]

But that would change if you did see a gain in attacking him.

I do wonder.
[That's a ye, But the gains would have to be pretty big as it stands right now- with the ex #1,2 and probably # 6 freelancers and a Spartan all threatening to be gunning for him if they so much as step a toe out of line.]

[Carolina frowns underneath her visor, they need a permanent fix, not a temporary one.]

I need a permanent solution, regardless of what gains might come up.

[She knows she's not bargaining from a place of power, but this is urgent.]

Does dear York have enemies here, then?
[He doubts she'd admit it, but if it's possible someone would hire him to take out York and it's worrying Carolina...that's interesting news.]

Only you if you choose to be. [Carolina doesn't know of anyone who would hire Wyoming, but then again she doesn't know everything about the Castle.]

[For his part, he won't go looking for people who'd hire him to kill York in specific. Finding people to hire him in general, however....]

I believe I've already explained my stance on the subject, Carolina. If all you want from me is a pointless and tedious repetition of what I've discussed with every person I've heard from since our arrival, then I do believe we're done here.
[Technically South and the first spartan even ask about it, but hopefully Carolina gets the idea.]

[Carolina is less than satisfied with that answer, not at all feeling guaranteed that he wouldn't attempt it. Though, she supposes part of that comes with having been in the Castle.]
