Okay, I'm preeeeetty sure this wasn't supposed to happen. This isn't Latveria, is it? Doesn't look like it...

What's going on? Either my powers aren't working right or I'm in another dimension or something because I can't teleport back to Manhattan. I'm not really sure which one I'm hoping it is - finally start wanting to use my powers again and having them mess up resulting in me no longer being able to help my team out or finally achieving lifelong dream of becoming an official member of the Avengers and getting sent to who knows where.

... I'm gonna go with the first one being the worst. At least you can get out of another dimension. Right?

We've got a billionaire technical genius - that's me, the demigod with a mean right hook, a scientist with, frankly, rather frightening anger management issues, a couple of spies slash assassins, and a guy who runs around looking like an American flag.

Is that good enough for you?

So Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Captain America. The assassins...? My guess would be Hawkeye... The only other spy slash assassin I can think of is Black Widow...

At least it's mostly the same. In my world, the founders are you, Hulk, Thor, Cap, Giant Man, and the Wasp. Hawkeye and Black Widow join up later. So do my parents. [... He's just... not going to explain the whole complicated background thing right now.] And a whole lot of other people. The Avengers aren't just in one group anymore and are spread out in various places.

You know, I've said before that I've more-or-less successfully privatized world peace. I didn't imagine syndicating it, though.

We have S.H.I.E.L.D. They tend to keep tabs on that sort of thing.

S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't work out so good when you were handed control of it. The guy after you didn't do any better, but Cap cleaned it up after he got the job.

I have no intention of taking it over.

Pretty sure there's a mandatory one-eye rule for that job.

So you know Fury? That's good. Saves me time. All you need to know is that I would look horrible with an eye patch.

Yeah, he used to run S.H.I.E.L.D. He was still an agent for awhile after that. Worked with us when we went underground during the war.
