I've been here four months, four months of wondering what the heck to do, at least when the castle isn't messing around. I've been around the castle, and town, and I've seen what's been set up by people here. At first I wondered why, what the point was but now I get it - when you're just sat in a castle, away from your life you kind of need something to do.

I guess I'm finally at that point. It doesn't change the fact that I'd rather be gone but if I have to be here I may as well have something to do.

[ And now she's babbling a bit. Bring it back, Christina ]

At home I was a seamstress - a dressmaker. [ Thank you, Maladict. She's learned her lesson there ] I worked for a magazine, altering clothes for the models [ There's a brief pause before she adds ] and occasionally making my own. [ She was featured in a show once, and hopes to again. She doesn't expect anything like that here, though ]

So if you need something, or even just need something altering, I wouldn't say no.

I usually made dresses or coats. [ Or anything that Christina wanted to wear, most things she wore were her own ]

A seamstress, you say? How are you with kevlar, and other tough materials like that?

[arealwoman]

I've never used it before.

[ruined_jaw]

Figured as much. Most haven't, unless they're involved with with the police. I have an idea for something I'd like made, but it's gotta be tough, reinforced on the inside, but flexible so I can move in it.

[He sketches a very rough version of this into the journal, notating it with things like "titanium mesh lining" and "power output monitor".]

Think something like that may be a possibility? I know it's a little complex, but it's something I need done, that's a little beyond the scope of wishing since it's technically a weapon.

I'd have to try it to know, and even then I'm not sure about the kevlar. [ The thickest thing she usually - if ever - uses is denim ]

What do you mean it's a weapon?

Thing about kevlar's that it's actually lighter and thinner than comparable materials, like leather, but stronger. Reinforce it with metal mesh weave, and you make it even stronger.

Well, here's the thing; I'm a bloke with super powers. I've a furnace of energy in my chest that's been compared to a nuclear reactor, and when my powers came to me as a boy, they blew out the front of my chest, throat, and lower jaw. That's why my voice's in your head, rather than your ears. Obviously, I'm bollocks at controlling my powers by myself, so I need some help. I've worn a variation on the same mask and cowl since I was about 19 or so, and I figure it's time for a change.

What I want's a way to channel all the power I've got in a way I can control. Best way to do that's with something I can wear that'll keep my powers in, so I can channel 'em however I choose, like through those gun on my hips. [He circles the gun holsters and guns in the drawing.]

I know it's asking a lot, and it's not a dire need or anything, it'd just be nice to have.

Well that would depend on how much you're wanting. If it's that much I might have to set up a shop. [ She's kidding. Except later that idea might sound good ]

I can work with that.

So, what kind of dress did you want?

Any you suppose would suit me.

[arealwoman]

I might have to see you again to work that out. [ Just to be perfect and everything ]

You are welcome to my room. [ Because it seems like more intrusion to ask to come to hers instead. ] In the Ortus tower.

[ A few moments later: ] Do you need sleeves? [ She's got to think basic on this, and that's actually a challenge. Weapons don't leave room for extravagance ]

No. They'd probably get in the way.

Okay, give me a minute.

[ And more than a minute later (twenty-thirty) Christina starts sketching something basic into the journal, consisting of a comfortable tank top and pants.

And then she adds a belt for those weapons as she's not she's not too sure what to do with them ]

It might not mean much until you can actually see it, the material makes a difference.

[ But she's open for yay/naying on the basic concept ]

Is that good? [ She hopes so ] That would help. Where should I meet you?

It's a good thing. I like my current outfit. [She pauses to think about it.]

[ And 'however long it takes to get from the sixth floor down to the lobby' minutes later there is one Christina, sketchbook in her bag along with pencils and measuring tape. Just in case. Of course she forgot to ask what to look for like a derp, so she's sitting on one of the couches waiting ]

[Elektra more or less figured Christina would look like she was waiting for someone. She walks up to the first person who looks like they are expecting someone and lucky for her she's picked the right person. She's got a bag of her own filled with her usual gear and outfit slung over her shoulder.]

Christina?

[arealwoman]

You got me. [ She gives her a small smile ] Elektra? [ It wasn't as if she'd been waiting for anyone else but... just in case ]

That's me. [She exhales.] Do you want me to pull it out here? [Weapons weren't exactly unusual in the castle.]

[arealwoman]

Yeah, here'll work. Just, what do I need to be prepared for?

[likethetragedy]

[She'll just take off her bag and have a seat.] I don't know how familiar you are with weapons so I'll keep it simple; things like look like knives.

[She works methodically to unpack a carrying case that holds a pair of sai and another that holds small kunai aka really tiny knives.]

[arealwoman]

Let's go with not at all.

[ She's definitely not a weapon person but this is different

And she watches, curious and... that's a lot of knives ]

How do you usually carry them?

[likethetragedy]

I usually hide the smaller ones inside the ribbons I tie around my wrist and hands. The bigger ones are the problem. I usually carry them or stick them in my boots. I need a more efficient way.

[arealwoman]

Right. Now I'm thinking that a belt wouldn't be that much use. [ Although it's a start? ] You'd need something to put them in and then something to put that on.

It's a good job I don't mind a challenge. [ And it's probably the most interesting one she's had yet ]

Not unless that belt had a lot of attachments. [Elektra concedes.] I'm just glad you don't mind a challenge.

[arealwoman]

That would probably make it too difficult to use. Where do you need them? [ It might make that easier for both of them - making and having access to ] Where's the best place for you to... grab them from?

My waist would be ideal.

[arealwoman]

I can work with that. [ And she puts her bag down, pulling a tape measure from it ] Do you mind?
