[For the longest while, it's left blank. Hinata isn't quite sure how to say it, or even what she wants to say. Telling friends someone had left is one thing, telling their family is another.

It has to be like removing bandages, right? Just a deep breath, and...do it.]

Um, I...I know we don't know each other too well, and so. Um. I. I'm sorry. But, um. I don't know how to say this, so I just will. I-I...I think Piper's gone. Home, that is.

[A little after alerting Phoebe, she'll once again find herself staring at a blank page, trying to figure out how to tell others that yes, Piper has returned home. And that she's just so unsure about this and everything. To keep admitting it is something she's not sure she's comfortable with or will be. How does one even become comfortable with the fact that their (best) friend has left the castle for a world she will never visit?

She sighs and does her best to speak clearly.]

Um, for those...those that knew her. Piper, that is. She's...returned home. I'm sorry. And....I-I think she'll be happy there..happier than she was here.

[A bit later, he's laying down on the edge of the fountain, covering his forehead with his forearm and trying not to fall asleep from the heat and the comforting sound of the fountain's water.]

[She finds him a little while later, face clear of any signs of crying or distress. This is supposed to be fun, not another chance for her to dwell on things.

Hinata smiles when she sees him almost dozing. She leans over him, probably blocking out the sun.]

...I didn't keep you waiting that long, did I?

[Ah, a nice nice shadow, there. Takes a peek thinking it must be a cloud passing by and finds Hinata's face instead. Blinks at her, and stares just for a split of a second at those white eyes--they are so different. And here he thought his were kind of special, with that mako glow and all...

Let's sit up shall we? And he sits up.]

Nope. [Ah--he should ask...] Are you okay?

[They can make a club for all the people with weird eyes. It'll be fun!

But she has a feeling she might have kept him waiting long. It's either that or that he's like a cat and enjoys sleeping in the sun.]

Ah, yes... [She does her best to smile.] I'm...all right. And...thanks, for this.

[He did wait for a bit, but he's not going to complain, it was comfy.]

Don't mention it. Anywhere you'd like to go?

No where in particular... [Though that's a non-answer and she feels...bad for that. Because he was nice enough to do something like this.]

Um, though... Have you eaten yet today?

Nope. And now that you mention it... Is there anywhere around that serves pizza?

[She breathes out a laugh, then turns around to face away from them, to the street behind.]

Ah, yes. If it hasn't changed and I...am remembering correctly, there should still be one down there.

Let's go then. [And starts walking towards that direction, expecting her to follow.]

All right. [She chuckles, and does actually follow after him. This, she's used to this. Plus, it is a straight-forward walk with a minimal chance of getting lost.]

Um, how have you been though, Cloud?

[Slows down a little so she can catch up with him and walk beside her, she's the one that knows the route after all, but maybe he could get there using his nose.

Hmm, there is nothing like small talk to get your mind off things, is there?]

Not bad... I guess. [Or maybe not--he's terrible at small talk......]

[He probably could get there using his nose. The pizza they make there always smells delicious.

And it's OK. She's almost worse at it. Though she's getting better.]

Well, that's...good, then. Here, at least. Not bad is good here usually.

Kind of figured out. [He does have a question though, one that might help this conversation get better.]

You don't live at the castle, do you?

[She shakes her head, fiddling with the cuffs of her jacket.]

Ah, no... I live--well, lived, I suppose--in two different places in town. Um, one was with Piper...and the other with some of my friends from home. [Now she's uncertain about that arrangement.]

[Sends her a quick glance.]

Why?

[Taking a page from Cloud's book, she shrugs.]

I...don't like staying there. And well, they...all offered for me to stay. [Well, Piper did. Ino and Sakura kidnapped her.]

[Nods and gives a little grunt of acknowledgment.]

What's the difference?

More privacy...for one. [Though, if she were honest, there really isn't too much of a difference.]

And, um... Well, most of the things that happen in the castle don't quite reach the town either.. Like losses.

Really? [Now that sounded interesting...]

You haven't gone through losses since you're out of there?

Not...really. At least, not the ones that affect a group of people at a time. [And she hasn't really heard of it happening to others either.]

[She starts slowing down as she sees the pizza place just ahead.]

So it... It's like it's easier to be overlooked when you are not in the castle, I suppose.

I'll have to look into that... [It was easier just to stay in the castle for the while. Looking for a place and "settling" wasn't what he had in mind.

And they finally stop in front of a lovely pizza shop... And he just realizes he'll have to wish for money, ah, the irony...]

It's nice...at times. Even if the castle might have more comforts..

[Oh, how well she recognizes that look on his face! Naruto used to get the same look when they went out to eat, too. And she can't help smiling at that.]

Don't worry. I suggested the place, so...I'll pay.

[Lifesaver!]

I'll pay you back. [That's a promise! ... He's starting to make some debts there... Ah, bummer, that also means he'll have to eat much less! He wouldn't want her to pay for all the pizza he'd eat.]

Don't worry about it, Cloud... It's my treat.

[She will fight him on this. It's one of the few things she's extremely stubborn on. Between Piper and her, she had more than enough money.]

Let's go in, yes?

[She smiled and held the door open for him.]

[Oh man, he's such a bum, having a lady holding the door for him dfsdfsd... but he gives her a little microscopic smiles before entering. There they go! To pizza and friendship!]
