You're welcome. Oh! I don't think I asked you. What's that disk on your back?

Ah, that? That's my Data Disc. CLU's as well. We come from a place called the Grid- it's essentially a world within a computer system. The discs contain all the programming information for every program and the save information for Users like myself. We can also use it as a weapon.

[persequor]

So...you come from a world inside another world?

[messin_with_my_zen_thing]

Something like that, yes. [he pauses] do you know what a computer is?

[persequor]

No.

[messin_with_my_zen_thing]

It's a technological device. In some ways it's mean to mimic the human brain, with the ability to perform calculations and play games and whatnot. Granted, it's evolved a lot through the years but that's the basic idea behind it. It's possible to create a whole network of computers so information can be passed back and forth quickly across distances.

[persequor]

[ Does not get it. ]

And you live in one?

[messin_with_my_zen_thing]

In a manner of speaking, yes. It's a digital world. Almost like... a world you create inside your imagination. It's not something you can see just by looking at the device, itself. There's a portal to get into it - an entirely different world within the software of the computer.

[persequor]

Like this place then. It's bigger on the inside.

[messin_with_my_zen_thing]

[It's a TARDIS? He makes a thoughtful noise]

Something like that, yes.

[persequor]

[ She beams proudly that she got it. ]

You said you have a son here, right? How old is he?

[messin_with_my_zen_thing]

[She should! She's a smart kid, man.]

I do, yes. He's seven years old. Sam Flynn is his name.

[persequor]

No, I haven't met him yet.

[messin_with_my_zen_thing]

I'm sure you will in time. [he smiles] You're both smart kids.

[persequor]

You think so?

[messin_with_my_zen_thing]

[He chuckles]

Oh absolutely. You were very smart and very brave in that mirror land.

Maybe not, but what you did was more than many other kids your age would do.
