[Filtered AWAY from anyone who would use this info for harm, children and away from First Gens;]
[There's a noticeable pause in between the filter and when he actually starts to talk, but his voice is level when he finally does]
My condolences toward your recent losses, and further so, that I have to be the bearer of unfortunate news. But...You cannot protect everyone, not all of the time, and it nature of death here is one that concerns all of us.
I was the first body to remain behind for the duration of the two weeks, in Paradisa, last August. When I returned, I asked others who had died what had happened to them. They held a reoccurring theme. They either became castle ghosts, and served others...Some did not remember, and others simply were isolated.
I experienced something quite different. I was entirely aware of what had happened to me, of what was currently happening during the time I had been gone.
[A pause, it doesn't ever really get easier for him to talk about] It was essentially, nothingness- I could not use any of my senses, not to see, hear or speak. I could not feel anything around me. Not that I could move to do so, had I wanted to.
Initially it was because...I had been cremated, and Paradisa had to be so kind as to reconstruct me. I can strongly assure you that it's a most painful procedure, and quite so long to accomplish. And once it has, well you cannot move then either. And you are hyper aware of everything your body is doing. Your blood, your heart, your stilted breathing-
You will have to bury them, or...Set them aside somewhere. And while I cannot guarantee they will experience anything like I have, you must be prepared that they will not come back as you expect them to.
The dead should stay dead. [Another pause] If you have any questions, you may ask. If I deem them to be irrelevant, Rubedo shall answer them for me.
[aka anything he just finds too difficult to talk about en masse]
[ooc: children as in 10 years and younger, so teens if so wishing, can still respond]

Thanks for the heads up.
Though I'm gonna have to toss in the idea that burying people might not be a good idea, either. Crawling out of a grave doesn't sound like good times.

I returned to my room, and so has every other before me. I suppose we cannot rule out that they would have to.

[When he finally finds words, he'll choose to write. Maybe Arthur doesn't remember, but...he still feels the need to say it.]
I'm sorry.
[Allen Walker;]
This is difficult for so many reasons. He remembers so much of you, and not enough at the same time. Enough to know that...
Well this was hard for him. He supposes asking why, is harmless. Something he doesn't have to think about]
For what?
[Arthur;]
That...would be hard to explain if you still don't remember.

I could have you arrested for that.
[Empty threat. They're not at home. No one here will care much, wouldn't do it anyway. It has no eat in it. He's sure he knows what this is about, and he's sorry for it, in some way. But he doesn't know what to say]

Good job, but nobody knows who the hell Rubedo is. So if you actually want people to know who you mean, then you might want to use my other name. [ Seriously, confusing people over something like a name will only deter from the current topic. Plus he hates it, but whatever. ]
There's no guarantee that Tim and Yuan are going through the same thing, but I guess it's better to warn them and be wrong than the alternative.

Perhaps if you actually utilized your name and weren't such a liar, people would not have any cause for confusion. Regardless, when you answer questions for me, they'll find out soon enough.
[He's not using your fake name ever. ever. ever. get used to it] No, there is not. But it isn't unlikely, when they used to...All be very similar.

Do you think it would be any better--we have technology in my time to freeze a body, it's called cryosleep and it doesn't hurt the person at all--do you think setting something like that up would help?
[Filter;]
...I do not understand. It is going to turn them into ice? Would that not cause them wounds that the castle would have to fix?

Arthuuur. [it's more of a groan than a whine. come on, man, you know she's not that dumb. (at least, she hopes you do)]

Unfortunately, yes. Though I am quite well despite both. [...Sort of, he's working on it, whatever]

what does cremated mean
no subject
It is when a body is burned upon a pyre. In my time, it is how one sends off a loved one who has died. In the future, it is apparently far more common to bury them.
