[Hey Paradisa. There's the sudden sound of this music crackles to life this afternoon. It plays through without comment before Gren speaks]

It's been a crazy couple of weeks, huh? We've lost a lot people, gained a lot of people, and pretty much had a lot of what we knew about this place thrown upside down.

And it's easy to let all that ruin your day and start getting mad at this place. I'm not saying not to be angry or sad or happy or whatever it is you're feeling. I'm saying...this place isn't all there is to your life. It might seem like it, sure. It's hard not to feel completely out of control when you got this placing yanking your string every other day.

And you can't tell me everybody's home is the best thing to go back to. There's bad parts to everything, but that doesn't stop it from being home, because it's familiar and because there's still things you miss about it.

There's gotta be something good you can hang onto. A rainbow you can follow. A little positive thinking might not kill you.

[He pauses to chuckle softly and starts up the music again]

And if you think it will, I'll find all the depressing music to play next week...

Also he actually does this every week I just...don't have something relevant for him to say all the time. But the music is a semi-regular thing))

I ... [he sighs] I'm not okay. That'd be bullshit of me, and we both know it. But ... there are still a lot of people here who give a crap. Not just about me - about everything, about what happens, and who gets hurt ...

And knowing that helps.

Also: it's totally weird being the guy on the other end of this conversation, have I said that yet? Because it IS.

But hey, it's...okay...to not be okay. That's normal, especially after a week like this. You're entitled to it, but the question is whether you're gonna stay down there in the dark or find a rope and crawl out of it.

A place like this can get overwhelming pretty quickly, you know? So it is good to remember those kinds of things.

Oh yeah, I know that. I've been through some crazy things ever since I got here, but then I remember how it could be worse, or I remember the pretty decent people I've met during all that, and it helps me to keep going.

I forget sometimes too. I'm not exactly best friends with this place myself.

I doubt anyone is. But still, it's easy to forget that despite all the issues with the castle, there are good things about this place. The company for one.
