The castle just overloaded me. [The sound in the background would be a stack of books that's just lost their balance. Rose waves it off... she'll get to it.]

Everything I ever owned in the years I was in this place has just been returned to me.

'Mean, I know I wasn't always the neatest resident, but this is forcing me to clean. [She sighs, running her hand through her hair as she glances around her room.]

Sort'v not very fair of it.

[She makes a clicking sound with her tongue and then exhales, clapping her hands to get started.]

Oh! Anyone seen a lil' dinosaur 'round? Most my pets have seemed to wander on back, but she's missin'. I was just wondering.

Good to hear that, I've heard some stories 'bout apples going rotten before they've been eaten.

[Rose enters and takes the apple from River's hand. She goes for the drawer to cut it in half first and then into smaller slices.]

Minutes. [ Except lots of them. Thirty exactly ] It was fast, for a linear progression.

I've heard the linear path is the slow one.

For time. Not distance, but there are exceptions. Don't want to get in the way.

They never say it but it's known. Too dangerous.

Yeah, I've heard that bit a lot. Sometimes it's worth the risk, though.

Never know what will happen. [ It's the same in life generally but more so here ] It's changing.

That's very true. Especially in this place.

There are clues, always clues but no evidence, nothing concrete. Just a guess, except they're wrong.

Well, a guess can't be wrong until someone says that it's their answer. It's just a guess and there's nothing the matter with making a guess.

Just when it's held as fact. People guess, they tell you, others listen and repeat. It becomes believed when it shouldn't.

Sort'v like spreading a rumor until it seems true enough to pass as real. Must be frustrating then.

Yes. [ She gives a small nod at that. Not many people seem to get it, just wanting to believe instead ]

It is. Hard to help when they don't want it.

Offering the help doesn't always mean it's the right thing. Sometimes you can help without actually pushing the facts around.
