[ those two filters done and set up, the stylist settles into the couch he has decided to occupy in the castle lobby today. he has a set of various pencils by him, as well as sketchbooks, and is lost in his own madness world at the moment. he is periodically looking up and at residents floating in and out and taking details here and there. feel free to be nosy or catch him studying you intently! ]

[ He sets down the two pencils she chose and picks up the rest once more. ] Pick one more color.

Mm...this one. [ She points to the purple pencil. ]

[periculis]

[ Oh, a wildcard. Now he takes that pencil and sketches out two items: one is a scarf, and the other is a hooded cloak. ] There. If I do not see you when these are done, I will simply have the castle deliver them to you.

[persequor]

[ Her smile widens before being quickly kicked off by a frown. ]

I don't have anything to pay you with.

[periculis]

I never said you had to pay for them, Arya. [ He looks at her and raises an eyebrow in amusement, a smile playing on his lips. ]

[ Oh. Well. Awesome. ]

My pleasure. Now, I do hope I have not held you up from something with the cat.

No, I was just catching it. I wanted to see if I still could. I thought I might be out of practice.

[periculis]

Is that what you did back home with various animals, or something else entirely?

[persequor]

No, this is something my dancing master taught me. He said all swordsmen should study cats. They're quick as snakes and quiet as shadows. You have to be quick and quiet too to catch them.

[periculis]

Your master is wise.

Oh, so you wield swords. [ He scribbles a short note on the page. ] What else can you handle, or are learning to wield?

[persequor]

Just the sword. I can shoot a bow. I hit a mark my brother couldn't from further away.

[ One of the few times she got to show up Bran before she was herded back to sewing. ]

[ His smile grows in amusement. Why is she so cute?? ]

Well, aren't we full of hidden talents? Do you get to practice more here, or back home?

[persequor]

Here. At home, no one but my father would have let me pick up a sword. But I haven't done it much lately.

[periculis]

Getting bored of it, or has something else held your attention?

[persequor]

I never get bored of it.

[periculis]

That's good. There should always be something you love to do, no matter what.

[persequor]

This is what you love? [ She points to the pencils and drawings. ]

[periculis]

Yes. [ He takes up the set of pencils, pulling out a deep gold one and twirling it between his fingers. ] I define myself as a person through this, and I get to define others and show off their true selves through my work.

[persequor]

I've never heard it described like that.

[periculis]

[ He smiles at that. ] Now you've learned something new today.

Most people do not realize their clothes say a lot about who they are, or how they're feeling. It is lovely way to read people without engaging them directly.

[persequor]

Huh. [ Filing that away as things to look into and practice. ] What do my clothes say about me?

[periculis]

Your clothes remind me of a time that has long ceased to exist back in my world. From what I have read on that time, they spoke of status. Also, from our conversation, I gather you are related to someone of high or significant status, and that your future may involve an important part that you will play.

[ Surprise registers plainly in her face. Arya glances down at her clothes as if they might somehow have who she is written on them. (If I want to hide, really hide, I have to be careful what clothes I pick.) ]

[ One part she feels the need to correct. Her tone is soft and matter-of-fact. ]
