I've managed to get somewhat of a darkroom up and running in my room, so these photographs have all been developed. If I took your photograph and you want to keep it, feel free to come find me before tomorrow, because otherwise I'm just going to throw them out.

[There's the sound of him shuffling the photographs, then shifting through them. They're...all pretty damn terrible. BUT THAT'S THE UNIVERSES FAULT.

Anyway.]

Another thing. I need help figuring out how far my loss extends. I've figured out what it is, but I don't know the extent of what it's affected.
I'd like to make sure I'm still able to fight, so if you think you could take a punch or two, I'll be outside in the evening.

And don't worry; I won't break anything.

[You'll find him outside admiring the decor change for the lunar festival. Even if you don't fall into either category, pester him anyway. He loves company despite acting like you're all some kind've massive burden on his precious time.]

[and a little while later, Ray shows up with his equally derpy sheepdog in tow, and his PKE meter hanging from his belt]

[Opening the door, he'll give an upwards nod to Ray as a greeting then walk over to a nearby table, picking up a little collection of photographs off of it and hand them over.]

These are the first batch. Just like I said.

[All distorted and blurred, except for two.]

while he's doing that, Blue will just start sniffing around his new friend's ankles. sup dude]

[Both of the clear photographs were of some trees and the front of the castle. However, both had Tsukasa in them, which made it pretty obvious as to why they weren't distorted. He hadn't taken them.

Tsukasa, his attention leaving Ray, crouches down in front of Blue and watches him. He's no problems with animals, they just usually have a problem with him, so he's not going to really be bothered by this.]

Nice dog you have here.

Thanks, I got him at the shelter in town. [he shuffles through the photos, separates out the two clear ones, and swipes the rest with his PKE meter, which beeps and crackles]

... Yeah, this is definitely the castle's work. ... You didn't take the other ones, right? No timer on your camera?

No, those two were taken by someone else. His name was Jade.

[Standing.]

So, what, do you think this might be my loss?

Jade Curtiss? Oh yeah, I think I've talked to him a couple times. Nice guy.

... But yeah, m'afraid it is. The castle's energy signature is all over these.

I came here not knowing a single thing about my personal life before I arrived here aside my name. I assumed that was my loss.

Yet here you're telling me my photographs are distorted because of the castle?

That seems a little unlikely considering this happened back in my...

[Home? Universe? No, those aren't the right words...you don't have a home or universe to call your own.]

...before I came here, too...unless I have two losses. Which seems a bit unfair.

The only people I know with more than one have been here a really long time ... maybe it's something that happened to you back home that made you forget...

[and he swipes the meter experimentally over him. what would it pick up? any supernatural influence or strength?]

[It may just pick up something after all, completely unrelated to the castle's energy. It was a lingering energy that had stuck to him as a result of his countless world-jumping shenanigans, the kind of energy you would find in between dimensions during that little moment you find yourself caught between one world and another before arriving.

He just seemed to give off the energy however, not produce any kind of excess. It remained stuck to him, completely stagnant. There was also the fact that, despite the fact he was completely human, his body's own energy was completely different from what you'd expect of a regular human's to be, much stronger too, though whether or not the meter would pick that up was another thing.

Tsukasa, though, just stares like wtf man.]

I meant to ask; what's that thing you're holding anyway?

This? [he's distracted as he speaks, since he's looking at those readings in a bit of puzzlement] It's a PKE meter, picks up psychokinetic energy traces ...

... and you've got a layer that doesn't match the castle energy signature. Do you have a lot of supernatural phenomena where you're from?

[Where he's from...kind've difficult to answer.

So he'll have a moment to think about that.]

Certainly where I've been, yes. I've met a lot of supernatural beings.

Most of which aren't all that friendly either.

Hmm. Were you dealing with anything particularly big right before you showed up that could've left a lingering psychokinetic imprint?

[He'll run a hand through his hair, shrugging.]

Oh. ... Well, memory loss can be a side effect of significant supernatural events. That's ... well, it's a pain, but it's entirely plausible.
