001 Summon ❈
[If anyone's paying attention, they'll hear sounds of scuffling, along with the unmistakable noise of things being strewn about. Among all the chaos, a strident female voice can be heard despite the obvious fact she's muttering to herself.]
When I find out which noble did this, he or she and I are going to have a nice little "talk", since I doubt the king would move me in my sleep from the inn. He has no reason to try to impress me. [Her inflection clearly reflects that the talk may not be so nice.] I can apologize for the condition of the room then, but I have to find it. [A beat.] It is a nice room, though, if a bit overdone for my taste.
[There's a pause as she moves about, before a gasp is heard.] What the hell is this? That isn't Meltokio! Where the hell am I? Maybe that book will help.
[The journal opens, and the voice coming through is now surprised.] This... This is my name! [Pages flip.] And these look like someone's written in it already! Wait. No, a lot of "someones". [Suddenly stops and the book hits the table as she drops it.] That's what I just said! It's writing everything I say! What's going on here? Where am I? And how do I get back home? And... [Her voice trails off and becomes quieter with a touch of sadness.]
Since I was traveling alone, I have no one I can talk to who would understand, but maybe putting it down in this thing will help, since it looks like different people write in it anyway. Maybe one of them can help me. [She takes a deep breath] I…can’t find Corrine’s Bell anywhere, and I’ve been pretty thorough in looking for it [The crashing sounds from earlier]. I usually have it tucked inside my obi, but it’s not there anymore. I don’t think I was robbed, but if I was, why take that? It’s not worth any money…
But, it does mean a lot to me, and I want it back!
[ooc: Adding this note. Sheena's responses are all dictated at this point, since she doesn't know about the other functions of the journal. YET.]

...Sometimes I wonder too. But if the elves hadn't come, then nothing as we know it would exist. They wouldn't have planted the Great Kharlan Tree.
no subject
Which wouldn't have brought the mana, and made magitechnology possible... [She sighs. Martel sees the same problem she does.] If I could change some things while still keeping others--I would. But, there's no way to do that. [At least none that she can see, and her voice is filled with regret.]
no subject
Thinking of what-ifs never helps. Things happened the way they did, and you can't change them, no matter what.
no subject
I know. Doesn't mean I can't imagine what it would be like, though. [She chuckles lightly.]
no subject
True. And we've gotten a bit off-topic from the castle.
no subject
Oh, yeah, we have, haven't we? Sorry about that. [She's trying to remember what's in Meltokio's castle--other than the normal things, of course.]
What else besides the library is here?

But what's the Four Seasons room? Does it have pictures of different seasons?
no subject
No. On Mondays and Fridays it snows in the room, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays it's a beach. [She pauses.] It's technically only two seasons.
no subject
And the other days it doesn't do anything? [Maybe it just goes with the season outside the window then. Nah. That doesn't make sense, either.]
no subject
I...don't actually know. I've never been in the room.
no subject
[She chuckles.] Really? Not a fan of the snow or sand? [Not asked with any sarcasm--they're kind of extreme temperatures, so maybe she doesn't like them.]
no subject
No, I just...haven't ever been in there. I've never thought of it. Maybe sometime I should.
no subject
Oh. [Sheena's head pops up when she realizes just what exactly's been said.] Wait a second...these things are in the room itself? And it's real? [Now that's a magic castle.]
no subject
Oh, and Insoltus, it's a room too, but it's also a maze. You can get lost in there.
no subject
A maze? No thanks. I have enough trouble with--[Unspoken: "holes", but Martel doesn't need to know that.] Never mind. I'm definitely staying out of that one.
no subject
I don't have the best sense of direction in the world.
no subject
Neither do I, and I wouldn't want to carry string around all the time "just in case" I wandered into one, either.
[Which knowing her luck, is a fairly good chance.]

no subject
Not a lot...
[But often enough.]

no subject
[She just might stay away from that for a while--considering her luck.]
