So far there doesn't seem to be any catastrophes going on so I trust everyone is settling in alright. I will ask anyone willing to keep a close eye on things and speak up immediately if something unusual happens. It would be remiss of us to be caught off guard because the setting initially seems innocent.

I am going to be staying in the Athena cabin for now. Where have you found yourselves? It would put my mind at ease to know where I can find you if anything happens. I realize it's a little paranoid, but please indulge me.

True enough. The Valar, at least, had little difficulty making their displeasure known. [Hence she was banished. :|]

The Valar?

Men sometimes call them gods. The truth of the matter is more complex, for they are both aspects of Eru, the One, and separate beings unto themselves. They are the closest I may come to beings of this nature in my own world.

I see. Do you believe they could arrive here?

In truth, I do not know. I would like to believe they are beyond the power of this place, but I am not certain. [And boy would it be awkward if they did show up...]

I do not wish anyone here, but I do find the thought of beings with that status here fascinating.

I find it disconcerting, rather. Tell me, in your last stay here did you chance to meet the Lady Alexstrasza?

I don't believe I did.

A pity. She bore a great resemblance to one of the Valar, not in form, of course, but in power and temperament.

I believe I have missed much in my absence.

It is only natural. This place is seldom uneventful.
