Day One: Party!

[it's the summer solstice and a huge group of demigods safely made it to camp. This is clearly a good omen for things to come. The camp is alive with music and dancing. The satyrs are jamming on their lutes and the tree nymphs come out of the trees to dance. Everybody's invited!

The party will go on long into the night. It's all for you guys, so have a blast!]

[nod nod] I'm okay. I didn't like it at first but now it's better. Peter is in my cabin with me and I met a lot of others.

I got to pat a horse! [beaming] I thought it was gonna bite but Clint told me it wouldn't so I tried and it didn't!

[pause] Is Flynn okay?

Good, I'm glad. [He smiles.] I'm in Athena's cabin, if you ever stop by.

[Ah, he'd seen the man in the stables.] The pegasus? Wow! What did it feel like?

I think so. I haven't heard trouble yet. I was actually looking to find everyone. I haven't seen him yet. But I'm happy I found you.

We can go visit other cabins? [He had no idea if there were rules against that sort of thing. But if Alan said he could, then he would!]

It felt really soft and tickled my hand! I really want to ride one. [Pegasus, horse. Same diff to Hesam.]

I hope everyone is okay. The Castle can be mean sometimes.

[Well, he's actually not too sure.] Nobody should have a problem with it. If they do, I'll talk to them.

I'm sure there will be lessons that can teach you how to ride one. [He ruffles Hesam's hair.]

I'll come see you. Peter says he's gonna protect me and so did the really pretty lady elf.

Are you gonna be protected?

I think so. The people in my cabin seem like good protectors, that's part of what Athena is about.

Really? What does Apollo mean?

The sun, truth, archery, and healing, if I remember right.

[pause] Someone said we got put into cabins because we can do stuff the gods do.

Well then, if it's true then you must be able to heal people like Peter. [He knows you do when you're grown, at least.]

Really?? I wanna help people! That would be really cool!

[How conveniently accurate! At least this loss is doing an exceptional job of protecting Hesam from alcohol poisoning!]

I'm gonna get smarter so I can read books. I can only read the picture ones now.
