Day One: Party!

[it's the summer solstice and a huge group of demigods safely made it to camp. This is clearly a good omen for things to come. The camp is alive with music and dancing. The satyrs are jamming on their lutes and the tree nymphs come out of the trees to dance. Everybody's invited!

The party will go on long into the night. It's all for you guys, so have a blast!]

Not really, Sam. [She smiles down at him] What have you been doing?

[sameteam]

I was looking for Hesam. [Sam smiles up at her.] But I like talking to you.

[chippedcup]

And I like talking to you. So how are you settling in here?

[sameteam]

In camp? It's cool! There's horses and a lake and climbing!

[chippedcup]

I saw. I was on the tour. [She laughs.] What cabin are you in?

[sameteam]

Hera! With my dad. [Whoops cannot contain his excitement.]

[chippedcup]

[Belle doesn't mind.] Pretty happy about being with your father?

[sameteam]

He came back from the mirror place.

[chippedcup]

...he was there too? I must have seen him, because I was there.

[sameteam]

He's a lot bigger than me and he has a beard and wears robes lots of the time.

[chippedcup]

I believe I remember seeing him. I didn't talk to him, though.

[sameteam]

Sometimes he's really quiet. [Nodding sagely like he actually knows what's going on.]

[chippedcup]

Sometimes people are like that. [She gives him a small smile.] You must be happy to have him here, though.

[sameteam]

[Sam smiles and nods.] I like having him around.

[chippedcup]

I would hope so. He is your father, after all. I wish I could see my papa, again, but... [She gives him a small sad smile.] It's probably not to be.

[sameteam]

[Sam's smile dims as he watches Belle with some concern.]

Did something happen to him?

[chippedcup]

No. I just...haven't seen him in a long time. I'm not sure if I will see him again.

[sameteam]

[Sam nods, he knows that feeling very, very well.]

He might come here.

[chippedcup]

Maybe. I hope so. [She gives him a better smile, this one more genuine.] Thank you, Sam.

[sameteam]

[Taking a couple moments to really register the extra weight to her thanks, Sam smiles a little more shyly.]
