27 Blueprints -- Dictated
[When Ted wakes up and discovered he had gone to sleep simply out of boredom to wake up two weeks later, it didn't exactly grip him with the same anxiety as it had the first time it happened to him, but it did cause him to think that maybe it was a signal of some sorts. A signal to get off his ass and actually do something.
He'd spent most of the morning simply mulling over the matter, skimming the journal idly and glancing at his various belongings-- like the trashcan in the corner, filled to the brim with crumpled papers of failed architectural designs.
Around eleven, he would write in the journal.]
Vivian
Hey. Uh, sorry for not checking up on you, I was kind of in a loss-induced coma. [He continues on smoothly, unfazed.] I know it's still kind of cold out, but do you want to go take a walk in town?
Everyone
Yo, guys, it's Ted. Got knocked out for a couple weeks, so I hope I didn't miss anything too exciting. Hey, um, I guess this is directed more toward people who know me, but. You guys want to hang over at my place later? [He gives a shrug despite himself.] There's not really an occasion. But hey, why does there need to be? We're alive. Young. We need to rile this place up! Get lively!
Plus I haven't watched Galactic Battles in forever. Who's with me?

[Looks like they're in town, now. It's been awhile.]
Anyplace in particular you'd like to go to?

[She attempts a small smile.]
No, I don't have a preference. Wherever you choose will be fine.

[Ted looks around, his attention immediately snagged by the general shape and style of the buildings. And suddenly, almost unnoticing of his own actions, he begins to ramble:]
You know, Royale's architecture is really... really something, you know? It's like-- taking all these bits and pieces from European cultures, and then putting them together so flawlessly that it looks like its own unique design. And I guess it sort of is, because, well-- it couldn't be based on European style, right? This isn't Earth, so there isn't a Europe here.
But what if it was Earth? Maybe this is like, some sort of crazy alternate universe of Earth, back in the medieval times. That would explain why we're in a castle, at least, and not some sort of magical hotel. And maybe these people are immigrants? So maybe they did take some knowledge of architecture from Spain and Italy and France and all that-- or what was going to be those countries anyway. Maybe they came from all different parts and joined together, and eventually they got their own kind of style. One influenced by their background, but enhanced by their ideals and their own unique culture.

That's one of the first things I noticed upon my arrival to here was the style of the buildings and the castle itself. Which is why I also worked out that I wasn't in America because they don't have castles there.
I didn't think it was Earth either once people told me there was magic and I was brought to another dimension. That was kind of a shock.
You could be right, Ted. It's possible that this is an alternative Earth from the past and we're all brought here from our different times. Think about the kind of traditions and events the castle has sprung on us. Christmas, the Diwali festival. Some festivals from other people's worlds that I've never heard of. Perhaps the castle or if there are natives can someone sense the kind of celebrations we have at home and recreate them here with their own little spin.
It's a lot to think about.
sorry for fail ;_;
[Ted considers this, looking around at the people walking around.]
...y'know, I think the castle's affecting them, too. And not just second-hand through us or anything. Have you ever tried talking to them? They don't do much past small talk-- and forget about asking them anything about the castle, or, hell, even their own planet, really.
what? no fail here <33
No, I haven't really spoken to them at all since I got here. Any kind of information I've gained about the castle and Paradisa itself is from other people who were taken like me. Some of the books in the library are useful too.
Do you ever think that this could be some elaborate dream or fake reality? Like in the Matrix? Yes, I have seen the film.
